Okay, so assuming this guy IS actually a new character/clone rather than an alt-costume, what kinds of moves from Wii Fit would he even have? Is there anything different about the male trainers routines in Wii Fit? I've never actually played it so I wouldn't know

She's always peach's last color though.
But Daisy was straight up in Melee. Different emblem design and everything.

Eh, I think that's a bit tougher considering they are actually different characters. (Personality, moves, etc.) The trainers and the villagers are just blank slates, so I think it's easier to implement them.
I guess we'll see. If Daisy is in, I think she should be a stand alone character personally.

Yeah, it'd be off-putting to hear the announcer say that Peach wins when it's blatantly Rosalina. That's why Rosalina should be a new character. YupYup.

Like has been said, although yes he is most likely an alt, I'm really interested in how hit boxes will be affected with the differences in the models? He seems a bit taller; I wonder if his reach is longer as well? It seems like a lot of extra work if they have to adjust a lot of things just for an alt?

The reach of his hitboxes are the same, most definitely. He's taller so that means the only difference in hitboxes would be horizontally.
Yeah... I'm now pretty sure this is an alternative costume, but there are proportion changes in both male and female trainers, and I wonder if hitboxes will reflect that or if they'll just be exactly the same.
Either way, it's extremely detailed for a costume, and it leaves me wondering... what other characters will have something like this? Female Villager seems cool...

One thing I've always wished would happen is 'skins' for Pokémon Trainer using the male and female character designs from the various Pokémon games.
This pic gives me renewed hope that it might actually happen this time, which pleases me to no end.

Uh, assuming if the alt costumes are programmed logically, Rosalina would get her own soundbank as well as a new announcer call. It's not that much work, I imagine.

Guys, the male wii fit trainer is not a new character. It's just a costume swap. He doesn't have his own character page on the dojo. :lol
If she pulls out a Luma instead of a Toad, she will completely replace Peach for me.

Every palette swap in Brawl has its own accessory item colored differently, in this example: Peach's parasol. iirc, Toad is in those files too. So it's definitely possible without much technical work.
Sakurai should give Marth , the Masked Costume and a Roy one.

I think he will be be alt with some changes in his attributes.
I think they're the same. His legs are in a different angle, that's why he appears to be bigger.
Maybe she could throw star bits instead of veggies. I assume those are also separate?
Actually, their body proportions look exactly the same. It's just the build that's different.
Man with alts , he should be easily able to give us the original looks and the female trainers.(Sorry I am getting greedy)
Yeah, the turnips are in a separate file and don't have different colors. So, he'd have to make Star Bits and apply the item to Peach's character model.
Or he could just be lazy and not change the turnips at all.
It is Sakurai, after all; who knows.
