It could be. Very unlikely, but maybe QD pulls a ND. Cage said we can expect something "very soon" on TV recently and maybe they are doing a similar tactic to ND back then by constantly saying that Beyond used all their resources and the PS4 game will be a while off blabla. ND did the same just before announcing TLoU. Also I just checked and the two new writers they hired are working there since April 2012, so they have to work on something definitive by now (they didn't work on Beyond). Considering the engine is ready (The Dark Sorcerer) and they trademarked Singularity a while ago it may happen.

They are also hiring AI programmers and prop designers right now with the specific task of creating real world and sci-fi assets.

Yes, if you see it in that way - the Souls series rewards you even more for accomplishing various goals than Hotline Miami. Demon's Souls 2 is something amazing to look out for; especially if you love challenging but fair games

Depends on how it looks and who's working on it. I don't think it's feasible for From to make Dark Souls 2 and Demon's Souls 2 at about the same time. They're not that big of a studio.

They wouldn't do that. The original director of Dark Souls and Demon's Souls has yet to reveal if he's working on anything, so I can see them revealing a Demon's Souls 2 being developed by him.
