i don't think the boy and tears one is the last guardian. there's only one friend in that game, not friends. also too soon.
 
I don't think Sony will announce every single PS4 game in development by their internal studios. That would be stupid. They will probably announce and show the major titles that will release in 2014.

Actually, the best announcement i can hope for is that every PS4 is coated with a mild variation of the flu and that the moment you get it out of the box you immediately feel that right amount of sick where you can't go to work, but feel good enough to play videogames for a week.

There's some hints that the EVE Online Valkyrie (starfighter) game will be a PS4 and Sony VR exclusive for at least a limited time. In short, the guys demoing it at a recent show on an Oculus Rift couldn't confirm it was coming to PC or Oculus Rift.

Then there's the War Thunder devs talking about head tracking using the Playstation 4 camera, and then saying they'll support any other device Sony happens to put out if it makes sense for the game...

You know I was just starting to feel a bit funny but as I'm in the UK, don't think I'll be ill until the 29th, roughly.
 
2 weeks ago I got an email from Sony that a huge exciting project is gonna be released for PS4. I did not get the name of the game or a release window, but they said it will be announced soon, what soon is, I don't know either.

My senses were tingling for The Last Guardian and a new Syphon Filter game.

I sendt a new e-mail to Sony Nordic PR some minutes ago and they said they had no information regarding this Geoff-Early Access show. They said they know as much as me.

If announced, there better be release dates attached. Especially for The Last Guardian. My heart can't take seeing it and then knowing I may not see it for years to come.

It's quite logical if you aren't sticking to the same old boring ass script that seems to permeate in the gaming industry. E3, GC, TGS n done.

PS4 launch, good news....... throws some more good news in there = Happy gamers = Win Win.

I'd call it fanservice.

You have a bunch of people lined up to get the new console and meanwhile they will be talking directly to these fans saying

"This is what you can expect with your new console you are taking home in an hour".

Not only that, I think they know the delays put a bit of a damper on launch hype in general, and a lot of people have been complaining about lack of big Sony 1st party announcements, now you can kill two bird with one stone.

You are in line with other gamers, TVs in the stores are tuned in, people on their mobile devices watching. It is like an automatic party at every midnight launch AND people on the fence might run out after it to buy a PS4.

It really is fucking brilliant.

Eh, get coverage during launch. Also helps balance out if there are any negative stories like PSN issues those first two days.

Launch allotment is sold out anyways, it's also about getting people to stop from getting the XBOne since they can't find a PS4. Convince them to save their money and wait.

Exactly. It would also make some expected negative headlines to fall below the announcements of new games.
 
Hmmm.. what could probably shock me after Final Fantasy XV and KH3?
The Last Guardian would be a surprise, but not shocking.

My expectations are very well in check.

At this point, only Final Fantasy XIII- IV, or Metal Gear Solid 6 could shock me.
