Getting flashbacks of all the big GT and Spike TV pre event times. I'm gonna give Geoff the benefit of the doubt, he got Last of Us, Arkham City and a few other games he surprised with. I don't expect multiple AAA game announcements, but expect at least 1 and I'm leaning towards getting a new Epic game announcement.

Feels like only yesterday I was glued to this screen here laughing my ass off at the Playstation Reveal thread that occured here on GAF back in February, blown away by hype like everyone else.
Now we are just freakin 12 days away from standing in a massive line with a bunch of other gamers and parents wanting the next big thing. Getting goosebumps man. It is almost time.

No it's just another 3rd party moneyhat that MS did. Epic can bring the series wherever they want provided the contract they signed with MS is up.
Epic own the IP. I think maybe we will see Gears of War 4 multiplat with a HD collection of 1-3 on PS4 as a catch up. It should be a pretty Epic event.

Considering the way MS was shitting the bed, SCE didn't need to announce much. The big 3 [SSM / ND / PD] have yet to announce their PS4 titles.
It's not that early. It will probably be worth it, and you'll also get to see some crazy long queues live at the same time. It's all good fun!

That would be a good idea. Announce the Gears of War Collection and Gears of War 4 for PS4. I think that would be pretty a pretty epic announcement.

I personally expect one big reveal, maybe a new trailer for Infamous and the reveal of Journey/Unfinished Swan.

Some of the assumptions are definitely a bit over-ambitious.
However, Gopher doesn't discriminate his hype, so part of his puzzles almost always include titles already announced, which... is of course disappointing to a degree, since we always want or expect the new stuff.
It's always about finding the silver linings in his puzzles that don't match up to any of the already announced games.

All signs seem to point towards Epic revealing something at the event. That would be weird after partnering with Xbox for most of the past 8 years. It funny how Microsoft have their 'partnership' with EA while Sony appear to have everybody else lined up in their corner.

I think it had to do with RAM, didn't it? 360 had 512 and the PS3 had 512 but, split up 256 for OS and 256 for games?

I think people want to see the fallout of it more then they actually want to play it.
Gears is so slow and plodding compared to Uncharted that I dont think a lot of PS people will like it.
I think you had to have played it before you played all the other games that copied it and made it better.
Epic wasnt exactly a stranger to PS3. UT3 and Bulletstorm happened. MS just got the Gears franchise locked down.

Really hoping Epic reveal the AAA shooter they're working on.
They've been way too quiet this gen, whereas they were out front and center when the 360 was revealed.
They were probably waiting on final kits to arrive and further polish time, but they need to show the industry what they're capable.
Even a new Gears would be fine, but I'd prefer a new IP.
