Vita PSN Game & Service Thread | November 2013 | Tearaway into a new world

Doesn't the Vita already have this? I've listened to music while playing various games using both the native player and Music Unlimited
I don't have MU so I haven't tested myself, but I know the music player stops it you tab out while playing files from your computer, but files from the memory stick work just fine.

People that have tested the tunein app said it doesn't work on background either, so I take it's a system limitation.

I just saw that Stick it to the Man for PS3 is up for pre-order on the EU store(release on the 20th) is this not supposed to be on Vita as well?

I don't know about EU release dates, but I know in NA we're getting the PS3 version in a few weeks, and then the Vita version arrives sometime in December.

Had the chance to get my hands on Tearaway at E3 and want it more than ever now! Flower is definitely a perfect fit for the PS Vita. I am looking forward to playing it again on the Vita.

hmmm...what could the surprises be? is there anything similar to anti-aliased bubbles that we would swoon over and weird out the non-vita-owner population?
Uncompressed background and homescreen changing and I will never ask for another feature again

Sony, pls

So ... 4.5 hours into Persona 4 Golden and .... I'm not really feeling it. It all kinda feels more like a chore than fun and I'm not sure I'll keep going with it much to be honest.

Shame really as I've read so much good stuff but just not really clicking.

Come at me, bros (as the kids say).

Where in the story is that?

Yeah, the first 4-6 hours felt like an extended tutorial. It's been a few months since I've completed it, but I'm glad I stuck with it. I'm not sure how far into the story you are, do you mind spoiler tagging where you're at? I don't want to say specifically where the game picked up for me, just in case you aren't there yet.

Play it a little more (finish the first dungeon, the game opens after that). If once you have more freedom (Social Links and that stuff) you still don't like the game sell it. The first few hours are a very large tutorial. I've liked the game but I reccon it was kinda boring at times.

Still you have Chie since the beginning... and Chie is awesome :D

Regarding P4G, I'm
working through the dungeon trying to rescue Yukiko (i think that's the one), where it's like she's hosting a TV show?

So my team consists of Chie and Yosuke at the moment.

i like senran kagura
Hey Grim - haven't seen you in here in some time. Guess it takes an extended Senran Kagura conversation to get you to show up?
I miss your posts, even if I am more of a thread lurker than participant...
;-)

My recommendation is to give it some more time. This game takes a bit longer than most others to gel but once you get past
Yukiko's dungeon
the game starts opening up and starting to come together. Keep in mind that much of the enjoyment of the game comes from the social links opening up and the dialogue between characters, so it takes a while until your in-game group of friends gets enough characters to start becoming interesting. The game is at its absolute best, in my opinion, once most of your character's friends become available and the dialogue, the story, and the scenes really start to shine at that point. Just give it more time. This is definitely a game that just gets better and better as it goes on rather than starting strong but then growing more stale as time goes on like other games I've played.

EDIT: In other words, give it enough time to introduce at least a couple more main characters before you give up. You're still in tutorial-ville.

Cheers, I'll keep going and see where it goes.

Lol not hyping up shit.
They'll just introduce some feature that no one outside the 1% nico nico club would benefit.

Bet it's printer support or some shit.

Just finished my momohime play through on Muramasa. Now up to 80 something swords. Gonna try and get the second endings for each character next then mop up the rest of the swords.

Question, I adore Muramasa. Are the changes high that I'll like dragons crown?

so tiny!

know what's crazy? VitaTV launches 1 day before PS4.

Nov. 14th baby!

the real question isn't who is getting a ps4 day one... it's who's importing a vitaTV to use with their ps4.
no one should do this until we know that the vita tv's ps4 remote play function is available at launch. if there are no ps4s or dualshock 4s in japan for a few months, it's possible that it won't even have that functionality until then, right?

I imagine itll be a very similar (if not the same) remote play function the vita is getting, esp. since they are pretty much the exact same system innards and OS. I think it'll come with it. As long as the vita's remote play works as advertised i'm sure vitaTV will be just as good to stream your games to another room.

but really, who knows! only time will tell my friend...

Why would they release VitaTV?

What would you do with all of the control issues?
They would release VitaTV
a) maybe only in japan. Remember, we dont have any dates in the west yet and as far as I love the idea of VitaTV, I dont espect it to show up in the west, anymor
b) to offer a cheaper video game console to competet with Android consoles. PS4 dont really competet with those, but it would be nice for people who who dont have so much money.

And regarding the control issues, they could just clone the Vita screen. If you need to use the touchscreen, you have to look at the Vita screen and touch it.

But to be honest, a possiblity to play Vita games on PS4 would be to good to be real. It was just something what came to my mind.

true, but i'd still like confirmation of whether or not the ds4 will be officially supported. if it does, then i am definitely importing.

Hard to say.

Dragon's Crown plays like the old Mystara D&D games from Capcom, Castle Crashers, or any other sidescrolling brawler for the most part.
Muramasa is sort of a 2D action game a la the Dishwasher games on XBL.

You'll probably like the art, sure, but the gameplay? It's not the same and it's nowhere near as story focused.

At that time the battle system isn't as good as it is when you are around level 15-20. After you get Mabufu, Maragi, Mazio and Magaru (elemental damage to everyone) the battles get shorter, you spend less MP and everything goes smothly. SMT battle system is one of the best in turn based RPGs. You just need to wait until you're character is developed enough to get the good skills.

Part of what i like so much about Muramasa are the visuals music and story so maybe i won't like it as much. Suppose i may as well give it a go. The consensus is its a fun game. Will buy it retail just in case i dont like it so i can sell it on.
