Yes, thanks for pointing out the obvious. Who says they'd have disjointed hitboxes? I'm sure Sakuari would find some way.

Also, I mentioned a "switch" technique, which is something you technically can't do with the Ice Climbers. Such as pressing Down-B to switch between characters. If this was implemented then the secondary character wouldn't be able to really do anything, thus eliminating a potential grab game.

Essentially, they would just be 2 characters in 1. Although I like this idea, I have to admit it is redundant. :P

They have swords how wouldn't they have have disjointed hit boxes? But the rest is doable and I don't disagree there.

The Japanese Link to the Past and Ocarina of Time anniversaries coincide with the US/EU release of A Link Between Worlds, so there could still be a Zelda reveal at the end of the month. There's precedence with Peach for anniversary reveals.

It's possible, I guess. I wouldn't put a lot of faith in it, but it's possible.

I've always considered it when the hitbox is off the character skeleton. Like compare Ike with Mario and see how Mario's hit and hurt boxes are pretty much in the same places. Extreme examples but still.

Regardless glad we agree despite muddled definitions.

Sakurai will break tradition and pick Tharja over Chrom and Lucina.

I would rather have somebody from a different FE game than Chrom or Lucina. They are boring choices.

What are we at, 18 characters? Sakurai could show us one character a month and I'm guessing he still wouldn't have shown all of the starting roster by release. (if it does come out in 2014) I'm wondering if he's just going to reveal veterans on the website and save newcomers for events/Nintendo Directs.

Yeah. I think it's when the hitboxes are off the character's model. This being, Marth has a sword, so the hitboxes will mostly be on that, so it's not really disjointed because that's what he uses.

Of course, because most of his hitboxes are on his sword, his general range is larger than lots of other characters, so I understand many people say he's disjointed because of that.

I'm not really a person that argues anyway, especially over something I can understand.

I'm okay with Chrom and Lucina if they do something neat with them like make it a paired character like Ice Climbers, except you can switch which one is up front with down B, and each one has slightly different attacks and specials so you can do interesting combos with them.

Chrom or Lucina by themselves wouldn't be as interesting I think (although I'm okay with Lucina by herself just for more female representation).
 
First update in a while and it's a veteran :( Needs moar new challengers.

I miss when they'd release items or stages weekly to break up character introductions.
 
People saying Marth should be replaced by an Awakening character annoys the hell out of me. He's the protagonist of the first game of the series, it would just be dumb to get rid of characters because the series' most recent game has another protagonist.

That's like suggesting that Captain Olimar should be replaced by Charlie or Pikachu should be replaced by Dedenne.
 
Glad to see Marth back. Also, I noticed they revealed him, which means him and Luigi won't be unlockable but perhaps available from the start. I think Brawl was plagued with backwards revealing....Sakurai should have made King Dedede, Lucas, Lucario, Diddy, Olimar and all the other newcomers that weren't initially revealed by videos unlockable, while all the veterans from Melee already available. For ME at least, that would have built up more hype than having to "unlock" the characters you pretty much knew were returning (Falcon, Luigi, Jigglypuff, etc)

Especially considering the fact that hardly any of them changed enough to even warrant them being unlockable again.
