Still snake for me...tho there's the mystery of whether or not sakurai will keep the bad stamina, forced switch, and type effectiveness*cough burn ivysaur* mechanics.

I say he/she is the biggest mystery because we just dont know howit's gonna show up as, will he be male pokemon trainer, female pokemon trainer, gen 1 returning pokemon trainer, gen 2? 3?6?, will charizard, squirtle, and ivysaur still be his 3 pokemon? he is so up in the air, and sakurai only made it wose by not revealing him for X and Y.

I genuinely want him, even back in the early brawl dojo days he was someone I thought would be a shoe in. Metroid deserves another rep and he's an obvious candidate.

You can think someone's unlikely (though I honestly think it could go either way for Ridley; even with M:OM taken into account he's still a major Metroid character) but still want them playable.

Zero Suit Samus kind of counts as a "3rd character" but I agree Metroid needs a real 3rd rep and Ridley makes the most sense considering he's appeared in every game except for like 2. Maybe if the Hunter series had taken off one of those characters could have become the 3rd playable.

I legitimately want him. I like him as a character and if well implemented he could have an interesting moveset. That said there are big obstacles for him that I'm not afraid to point out (and I often join in on the "Too big" jokes).

The real problem is his proportions. He's quite lanky and a playable appearance would probably force them to compromise by either giving him more human-like proportions or keeping his limbs bent 90% of the time.

Almost positive Snake will come back, regardless of any new game to promote. Hell, I could even see Kojima pulling some shit in a Nintendo Direct (probably E3) announcing MGS5 and Snake in SSB4 at the same time.

Ridley is one of the most high profile Nintendo villains not to be included in Smash as a playable character. I want him. Smash has a villain and female deficit, and I would like to see that rectified.

Dark Samus was honestly just a poor naming choice, since she's so vastly different than Samus is when it comes to abilities. It's not like a Link / Dark Link situation here. She has a ton of moves in the games that are different than Samus', plus there's a number of moves in its Metroid Prime form that could be adapted, including an obvious choice for final smash. But yes, to people that don't know the series, it would look bizarre having three Samuses.

Pokemon Trainer Red as an actual fighter is certainly something LOL

I want to see him doing all the things he does in the games (throwing rocks, using his bike, using the fishing pole, etc) and beat up Pokemon with them.
