PlayStation 4 All Access on 11/14 - 11pm EST on Spike + Live Stream

Can someone compile or link to GopherD's posts in this thread?

I'm on my phone and slightly restricted.

Sure, here you go:

First there was this:

Dont. Set them free. Allow yourself to dream a little. New generations, greater power, more freedom for devs.

14 days.

New genres, revived franchises, spectacular open world masterpieces, scifi epic ship to ship battles, pirates, ninjas, lootwhoring, chickens in radiation suits, point and clicks, music to set your heart aflame, BASE jumping in Nepal, capturing all your flags, angels and demons losing their minds, and a boy, his friends, memories and tears?

One things for sure, there is nothing like the start of a new gen.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas
Everywhere you goooooo

and then later there was this:

Dedicated to all the tenchus and giraffes out there.

Anyone who thought that a massive amount of games were going to be announced at Spike's event by my post I sincerely apologise - you have taken my post the wrong way. For that i deserve a ritualistic flaying at the hands of seven virgin dwarves for being a tad ambiguous. I did not mean that to be the take away.

I was merely making comment about those things that make devs excited in the coming gen. Things that should make you excited too :) And if a dev or several different groups of them based in quite a few different countries are making games that exactly fit the scenarios listed and do not want knowledge of their games leaking early have no fear. Let this letter of remorse quell your PR rage.

Even though epic ship to ship space battles are going to be cool, chickens in radiation suits are going to be delightfully glorious and BASE jumping off anything is something all games need to have, it does not mean i will spill the beans about them. Well, any further anyway....

NOW LET'S GET SPECULATING!

Maybe we will see some new Destiny stuff.

Now COD is out of the way and is a bit of a downer Activison will start to finally kick the marketing for that into high gear.

Short trailer here.

Full trailer + Date at the VGA's

DD.MM.YYYY is the only logical order for dates: from small to big. What were you Americans thinking with your whacky units of measurement. ;-P

Was this the logic for you guys displaying dates wrong? (lol) The metric system made a ton of sense to me, but this always looked silly. First few times I saw it I thought it was a typo.

It will be the world premieres of stuff we have seen before, keep that in mind. I know of the games shown is supposed to be "new" but I'm not getting my hopes up that "new" equals "big".

could be short teaser, Uncharted 2 and 3 got short teaser before their VGA debut trailer. anyway, I'm expecting The Order gameplay reveal

He said some, not all. ;)

I think new trailers for inFamous, Driveclub and perhaps The Order make most sense, with some cool (new) indies on top of that.

But I expect at least one major tease, be it SSM, ND or a third party.

Dude, a reveal of The Order would be sweet. That would really blow the game up all over. I really think it will be Sony's next "Uncharted" level franchise. I hear alot of offline buzz about it at the store I work at. Any time the PS4 is mentioned, someone has to say "The Order" somewhere in that conversation and usually at the start of it.

Cerny: "Surprise, everybody, we've bought the rights to your favorite character back from Universal... IT'S BANDICOOT TIME!

Random dude in audience... "We Want Blasto!"

Cerny: "Have that man killed immediately."

Hmm, so in mort's latest Doddcast, he threw down some #rumours&hearsay regarding the status of Sony's first-party and where they are now, when they'll have em...

Demon's Soul 2 : still ways off, probably early/mid-2015.

Sony Santa Monica : apparently both titles are around 2015-ish too. ( seems kinda insane given that Stig's title has been in development since 2010 )

He seems to have heard that 2015 Sony is going to be very stacked, which seems kind of contrary to Yoshida's E3 statement that 20 out of 30 first-party titles in development will be released by 2014.

Interesting. I'd be fine with The Order, Uncharted 4 and Infamous being released next year.

The whole "20 first-party titles" statement was so vague I wouldn't even bother paying attention to it.

Oooo this will get interesting then.

World premiers are generally games we " knew " about, and its the first time seeing it.

So perhaps The Order gameplay premier?
The Last Guardian world premier teaser? ( haha )

Stuff like that?

Going to be interesting nonetheless.

No, it wasn't. Sony has actually made a careful distinction of what constitutes as WWS games, and what don't.

Which is why Micheal Denny was specifically brought up during Gamescom to announce what was Sony's term for first-party games. ( even though all of them weren't developed by Sony-owned studios, just supporting )

If this is not the most ambitious and polished game of all time then this time frame is just absurd. This isn't Japan studio for christ's sake, this is supposed to be a studio that knows what they're doing.

Yeah, I think that's a little crazy too to be honest.

Also... Both being out in 2015 is kinda impossible on a production side, I know they're two team studios, but those two teams will still share a lot of production staff.

mort did say rumours... Sony ninjas have been excellent at basically keeping the lid shut tight except Uncharted 4, so who knows what's the real truth.

I'm frankly super excited to find out Sony San Diego has a 2nd team... Sony adding another sports franchise to their line-up would be fucking awesome.

Well given the fact that around 150 people worked on Ascension Stig's team was (very) small to begin with.

Speaking with Angeli after the panel, he said he's been doing writing on the game for the past two and a half years. After the studio wrapped development on God of War: Ascension for PlayStation 3, he said, the full team of about 150 staffers transitioned to work on the new and still unannounced project.

2015 wouldn't be surprising really.

Is that the case then?

I would love to see a 'The Show' level next-gen sports game too.

They did? Hohokum is a prime example of a game that's under the WWS umbrella, yet we have no idea whether it's included as part of the "20 titles" since Sony haven't addressed whether cross platform titles are included. At least MS made it clear that it was X1 titles only.

London studio, Media molecule and Guerrila's 2nd team haven't show their games
And there is a chance Gran Turismo 7 Prologue arrive in 2014 along with SCEJ titles (TLG)

The Order gameplay, Mad Max gameplay, new drive club/infamous trailers (Driveclub release date narrowed), perhaps a psn port to ps4, usf4 ps4 and epics new ip.

Keeping expectations low!

SCE London worked on The Playroom, and is probably working on a motion control game now. Don't expect to see anything from them.

Media Molecule is way behind in PS4 development, hence why they only showed off a random tech demo during the February conference.

Guerilla won't show anything until Killzone has been out a few months. Plus, I suspect they had to borrow a ton of staff from the second project for SF crunch time.

MS teased thier future at E3 and I'm thinking Sony are going to do the same here. So im thinking teasers for Santa Monica and Guerilla will be shown here. Neither games will be released next year mind.

Also I believe Flower,Flow,Escape Plan and Sound Shapes are part of those '20 first party exclusives'.

Starting from around 2:06 onwards.

Well that's a bit surprising.

Yeah, caught me off guard too.

Me: 20 exclusives, and 9 still unannounced? Surely 5 of them must be PS3 ports! (flow, etc) It makes more sense that only 4 are still unannounced for 2014!
@yosp: no, they are not part of the 20.
Me: :O

Hehe, I thought Playroom was DoubleFine!

Playroom is developed by Japan Studio, but DLC will be from DoubleFine.

Man, what is happening with the Tenchu series these days?

That would be a perfect game for a revival. bring back a new stealth game based on a different style. Bring back a level editor for ultimate win. Have Sony give a hand in the development, so it's exclusive and visually impressive.

And everyone likes Ninjas, right?

Not that wikipedia is particularly reliable, but it does say The Playroom is made by London Studios

Time for me to be the stealth elitist but I don't recall the Tenchu games being very good stealth games. They were extremely janky but without the depth or mechanics to back it up like Thief did.
