This thread needs more wild, almost entirely unfounded speculation. I'll get us started:
Well, here's my best guess for what we see at this event:
Sony First Party:
Suckerpunch: We'll most likely see more inFamous at the launch event.
Sony Santa Monica: has a Stig project and possibly a Cory Barlog project, and we don't know whether or not they are working on the same project or two separate ones. (correct me if I"m wrong on that) Either way, very tough to tell just what exactly is going on. Tough to call, but I'm gonna guess we don't hear about their new stuff for a while.
Guerilla Games: They have a new IP in the works as we speak, we know this. What we don't know is what this project is, and my money would be on it not being announced yet, what with Shadowfall just launching, why step on their own toes?
Naughty Dog: Uncharted 4 is coming, mortimer says he is sure of this, the only possible doubt is whether ND is actually the ones developing it. There is an outside chance of someone like Bend doing it, but my money is still on ND and that it's TOO big of an announcement for this event. If anything, we get a brief, and I mean BRIEF teaser of it, with more to come at VGAs. More likely scenario to me is simply a reveal at VGAs as per usual for ND.
Sony San Diego: There's an outside chance we see more of The Show, but I have a feeling they wanted to get that announcement out of the way a week ahead of time as they did, and we'll get a slow drip of gameplay in the coming months. Important to note, they have two teams, so maybe they are cooking up another IP? There's a chance, but again I don't expect them to talk about it now, what with The Show coming soon.
Sony Bend: Now things get interesting. Are they working on a Vita or PS4 game? My money says PS4. I think Sony finds the Vita profitable without AAA titles, and would rather bank on PS4 increasing Vita sales than on AAA first party titles coming only to Vita. Plus, Bend deserves a shot at playing with the big boys. I wouldn't be shocked if we heard something from Bend on a PS4 title on 11/14, but I made a bunch of big leaps to imagine it.
Media Molecule: There's several ways to think about this: Tearaway is just around the corner, so why step on your own toes by announcing the MM PS4 title just yet. OR, their game utilizes Sony's VR and they are simply waiting for the right time to announce the game alongside the announcement of the VR. OR, MM is working on a quirky PS4 game that simply utilizes current peripherals and we could hear about it soon. I think my money is on the VR business, because it's Media Molecule.
Japan Studio: And finally Japan. I would be SHOCKED if we heard about TLG. That title screams either VGA mega mega mega ton, but more likely E3 2014. Other than that, PS4 titles are in the works, we just don't know by who and when. It's so hard to guess, but this is the North American launch event, and although there is interest, of course, in Japan Studio games out west, it seems better served to announce these titles around the Asia launch.
So, considering all of this I think at the 11/14 event we'll see a quick glimpse at The Order gameplay for the first time, and we see more of inFamous Second Son and The Witness. We'll get one new first party title announced for PS4, and although it's tough to call, I'm gonna guess it's either from Bend or MM, with maybe a TEASE of Uncharted 4. Epic simply has to be involved somehow, simply too much smoke for there to be no fire, and I bet they announce an entirely new IP either exclusive to PS4 or, more likely, with exclusive DLC or the like. I also think we get one or two more third party reveals, because why not, the PS4 has momentum and it would be a good look for 3rd parties to hitch themselves to the Sony Pony. Maybe Borderlands 3, what with their recent GDDR5 love affair?
This is a long post with a ton of bad speculation, I apologize sincerely, just read this:
TL;DR: I think we get one new first party reveal, a new Epic IP, see The Order gameplay, more inFamous SS, and another 1 or 2 third party reveals.
