Super Smash Bros Wii U and 3DS Thread 3: Ridley's Believe It or Not!

I still think Eevee who can evolve during battle would be good, even if it can
turn into Sylveon and grab people with its flesh ribbons.

qq wouldn't touch Smash with a 12 ft pole if that option was there lol

in terms of what ifs, I'd like to see a Reverse World stage with Giratina stage hazard flying around

for playable ghost types, put Shedinja in to troll every other character

Baby Ridley should've looked like that in Other M

not that... furby abomination shit

Just looked it up, reminds me of this:

I actually wanted Lucario in it. Just not as a replacement for Mewtwo. Why coldn't we have both, instead of PKMN Trainer? -_-

If Mewtwo aint in this after all the fan responses...

Pokemon Trainer is more unique than both of them, so... No.

Not to say I don't like them, but either of them over the ingenius idea of Pokemon Trainer? Nah.

Uniqueness has nothing to do with my desire to have Mewtwo and Lucario over a trainer with three starters.

Fun to play as, but not over Mewtwo, or half the other Pokemon options.

Lucario and Mewtwo only represent a certain generation (Although with their Mega forms in X/Y they can easily return) but Pokémon Trainer in the series is always a constant he/she just needs different pokemon to rep him/her,

Since everyone is throwing out random pokemon with no chance like Blaziken (he's be a captain falcon clone, let's be honest) I cast my vote for Hawlucha! Give me some Mexican luchador wrestling style in my smash bros please! He'd be more unique than most suggestions that's for sure

Yeah, I don't get the Lucario hate. I prefer Mewtwo but Lucario was certainly not bad. I don't like seeing characters not to return. :/

Mewtwo represents the same generation as PKMN Trainer. Lucario was the brand new movie star at the time.

Keeping him around with swapping PKMN is dumb. Because you don't actually play as him. Thus if we just have a buttload of PKMN, it needs to be focused and a full real character like Pikachu/Jigglypuff.

Mewtwo represents Gen 1 and with his X/Y forms he's also a potential rep for Gen 6. Lucario was the poster boy for Gen 4 and was fairly popular hence his inclusion in Brawl since Gen 4 was still the latest Gen. Pokémon Trainer is literally playable in every pokémon game, they could use the concept for every trainer from every gen but give them a varient of the three starters from each gen and give him/her a design to match that generations design.

Not really, his concept was a unique aspect, playing as 3-in-1 as opposed to the regular singular Pokémon. The only hinderance was that they could get tired, that could easily be changed in Smash 4.

I know I'm late to the Golden Sun discussion, but just posting to show it some love. Also, Smooth McGroove.

Iconic series or not -- or even if you think it's too verbose, it has just as much charm as any other Nintendo series. Don't understand some of the bitterness about it.

I have only played the first 2 games and its one of my most favorite rpgs ever. I was in rpg heaven with Pokemon, Golden Sun, and Fire Emblem back in the GBA days.

I just never understood why Lucario was popular. It's not so much hate as it is apathy with me. Even in Brawl, he was one of the few characters that seemed really boring to play as.

Really they should drop both Mewtwo and Lucario and go with Mr. Mime.

You Just made yourself an enemy.

What are you waiting for? Get off your lazy ass and do it already!

Eh, sure I guess I gotta wait for THE car to come back.

I just feel Mewtwo was pushed harder, but you have a point.

Only thing people could argue with it is the movie. In the games it barely has a presence.

I know right?

A poor man's shit is being better, get your facts straight!

So...what's with the sudden lucario hate?

Mewtwo fanboys getting their panties in a twist, all while blaming the wrong person.

You know how deformed cat fetus fans tend to be.

As much as i didn't enjoy lucario's at all in brawl, the additions they have him in Project M made him really fun. I love that they basically incorporated Ryu/Ken's moveset into him. I'm fine with him getting the boot in SSB4 though because I know they wouldn't update him with any of the Project M moveset

Going back to Melee to check out Mewtwo reminded me of how much I miss him in Brawl; he has a lot of really unique attack animations that are just plain cool looking. Especially item usage, like his dash attack with a bludgeoning weapon or his Hammer swinging animation. Would be a shame if they left him out of SSB4.

That said, I still fear they're going to use the new Mewtwo's voice, which will suck. Fuck that movie.

Hey, you know what, I want Braviary, Genesect, Heracross, Samurott, Garchomp, Staraptor, and Deoxys (and then some more) to be playable Smash too, but they won't.

A mime fighter would be cool though. I really wish Mr. Mime would have been a fighter at Jigglypuff's place on the first SSB...

I am fine with that. I actually had an Idea for a mime street fighter character, who was super weird like Fuast from Guilty gear.

However, Mr.Mime looks terrible, he used to look ok. But then Mime JR came out and he looks way fricken better than Mr. Mime. And now you wisn that Mime Jr was made first so Mr. Mime would not look so bad.

Screw it,

Game Freak, just give us a pokemon brawler that is literally a direct ripoff of smash brothers. Not this stupid "pokken" fighter or whatever everyone thinks it is going to be. Don't mess with the formula or try to make it unique like the failure that was PSASBRWTF, just a Smash Bros game featuring all pokemon. Then we can have our cake and eat it too.
