Closest is that fan-made game and even then it has some shit.
What formula, it wasn't going to be anything like smash bros. Rumor was it was going to be like tekken.
And I want that, because tekken is hype as shit.

Pokemon combat doesn't really translate well into Tekken, or even VirtuaFighter.
It fits the likes of Smash or Marvel, or hell even doujin fighters.

Wanted a bundle with nintendoland but this was actually the only wii U left cause everyone else is buying and putting them in layaway(people are actually buying wiiUs, shocking) but ohwell, didnt get a extra game with it but I will get one soon incoming weeks. Now im prepared for some smashing next

Tekken is more of a juggling melee game with less emphasis on flashy attacks and outrageous physics.
Then change that for a pokkemon game, make it more about flash attacks and knock backs.
It can play like tekken or use tekken as a basis it does not have to be one for one.

Most likely time constraints. Blame SEGA for saying "No" to Sonic being in the game the first time they were asked and then changing their mind near the end of SSBB's development. Or so I heard.

I don't know how someone can say Ridley is too big for smash and somehow accept Olimar or Bowser as fighters. All of these characters have been scaled up or down, hell there's probably a character or two I'm forgetting.

Mini Ridley should join the battle. But probably he would be too small.
What should he do with his hands? Tickle his enemies to death? He has 3 fingers and arms as thin as a stick. If anything using his hands would be an insult to his enemies.

I really hope that if Chrom replaces Ike he at least kinda plays like him. There was a cool idea behind Ike but it just did not work with Brawl's mechanics. Project M Ike is amazing though.
