Well, there is Mega Man. If Sakurai can bring back the original Mega Man and do a better job with the character than Capcom has in at least the past 10 years, then I'd say you could trust him to slap in a neat retro character in there somewhere.

Remember back in the day (like 2006) when Sakurai had that exclusive poll for Japan to ask who they wanted in Brawl? I remember Ridley, King Dedede and Sigurd being pretty high along with the Japanese Elite Beat Agents whose names I forget.

Also don't get discouraged. There are a lot of diamonds in the rough. (There's also a ton of decent crossover characters.)
You know what would be really cool? Characters from 1080° and Wave Race. They are both great games and representatives from them would be unexpected and awesome. I also just realised that Ryota Hayami from Wave Race and Akari Hayami from 1080° are brother and sister, so it would be really cool to have related characters that represents two different series.
Plus, I would really like to fight to "Work ya body, wo-work ya body! (Push it in!)"

Well Sakurai did almost put Mach Rider into Melee at one point, so it's possible and it'd actually be a great character(s) choice.
You mean sorting through the bad mods versus the good? Gotcha. At this moment, I'm trying to keep the new characters to Project M's, but i am hunting for good stages and character skins/models.
I found this Dark Samus from Corruption that seems to be a visual hack for Ganondorf by "Nuke". Anyone used this?
And I'm guessing I simply place them in the corresponding directory on the Project M "nohomebrew" files? Reminds me of setting up MUGEN back in the day.
Also, is their a Giga Bowser skin for my homie Bowsa?
