I definitely think Sony considered how easy it would be for a consumer to simply grab it and go. It echoes Sony's desire to build up a strong install base right off the bat.

I think it's a great box design for any consumer electronic.

It may look a lot smaller, but it's not that much smaller if you compare their sizes from that picture. Also The Xbox One box is almost twice as thick as the PS4 one.
