PS4 already in the wild

My dude works at Best Buy he said they have 108 systems and only 38 pre-orders. Should be no problem snagging one at midnight launch. Fuck yes.

BB stores sound like they have such good supply I might as well go through with my order instead of waiting for Amazon. I flip flop on this daily though, heh.
 
Could anyone chime in with some advice... I have two PS4's preordered on Amazon (since announcement), one on a Prime account and one not. Do you think I should cancel one? Or give the preorder away somehow? Or get it then sell it? And I'm scared to cancel one of my pre-orders then all the sudden the other one gets screwed up and won't ship till a month later. Think these will be worth anything?

But in seriousness you can't give the away. The best you can do is change the shipping address and have a friend/family//member/gaffer pay you via paypal amazon gc, etc

If you want to sell it at cost once you get it I believe you can but I can't guarantee it as I have no idea how many units are going to be out there. There may not even be a demand. hard to say until after it hits retail. Most likely you can get more though.

Hmm, yea it is hard to tell if it'll be worth more than retail at launch. I'll probably just cancel it tomorrow though, my Prime one better not screw up right after I change it!

I could probably sell it on craigslist though... thanks for the tips though!

edit: Checked with another Best Buy in the area, similar situation. Best Buy looks to be the place to score one of these, though I imagine they WILL sell out by Friday morning.

Sony need just to put Amazon and others of the leash and let them sell it. The more they wait, the more will get stolen by 15th.

Edit: Was stupid and poorly worded statement, that resulted in the argument for the sake of argument, sorry if anyone got offended because of it. What I was trying to say is that I am not surprised that first consoles show up in stereotypical poor communities - be it black people "from the hood", poor "trailer trash" or any other that has little to none options for earning money except for working in Walmart and other low paying jobs and that there will always be people who will snap trying to make a bit more money, be it "the hood" or "trailer park". Topic is probably dead by the time I edit, but I couldn't edit it earlier due to a ban.

Those haven't shipped out yet we have dozens of people on Gaf who won as well. One of those twitter/instagram guys said he got hooked up with PS4 from his friend. And when someone from Gaf contacted him he said his friend just marked whole pallet as defective and selling those.

One of them confirmed that his was stolen by his friend, other two talk about "connections" or "won in a promotion". Why would promo consoles ship early? None of people in Taco Bell got their shipped yet. I see no legit way to get a PS4 right now unless you have family working at Sony, or you are a YouTuber. The only shipping error so far was with Xbox One from Target.

Others two don't strike as Sony workers family members postings tons of weed, cough medicine, guns and cash on instagram. And sadly that's the truth, lot of workers in Walmart and other retailers are way underpayed, so it doesn't matter what color they are. 90% of the time first consoles we see in the wild are all stolen, by workers of any ethnicity. The guy who got console from BestBuy Canada warehouse probably stole his too.
 
I've posted in a few threads, maybe even this one, about Costco carrying PS4 on launch day. They still are but they only got a few dozen pallets company wide, which sucks pretty bad. I'm guessing major population centers and newer locations will get the shipments.

As for my copy, guy at Gamestop said they have less than 100 preorders at their location, which I'm apart of. Was happy to find out that even if I showed up at 12:01, there wouldn't be 300 people ahead of me.

Got my copy of Killzone already, just gotta try to do the Target deal to get Knack, BF4, and Fifa.

It's one thing to think they are stolen, it's another to point out that the reason you think this is because they are black. And as mentioned, one of the people you are talking about doesn't even actually have a system, just a fellow enthusiast posting old pictures.
