There is a very clear trend of people who have played both suggesting that 999 should be played before while people who played VLR only/first feeling like it's not necessary. See this thread from yesterday: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=712045
The main thing is the 3rd game will refer back to both works so it's really weird to suggest to people not to play the entire series if they have access.
Considering the PS3, PSP, and Vita all are, no reason why a JP VitaTV wouldn't be as well. But on all of those, for certain non-JP games, in-game button layouts will switch to the swapped format. OS will always be JP layout however.

I don't know about that...I just got Wind Waker HD, Starfox 64 3D and Rayman Legends Vita for less than $70 on it.

Seriously, a P4G style remake would be so good. P3P is such a lacking experience imo. P3 was always so much cooler.
The original P3 has an inferior battle system and no FeMC. It's really one of those games that needs a definitive remake.
If they could just polish up FES, add in full party control, and add some extras it would be the definitive version for sure.
Idgaf about FeMC personally but since she's popular she should be included.

There is no Killzone bundle in a region where Black Friday sales would occur.
Nope. We haven't seen any Vita Black Friday stuff apart from the leaked Gamestop ad. None of the big retailers like Wal-mart or best buy have had their ads leaked yet.

Ah my mistake, thought the Killzone bundle was in the states as well.
Usually around black friday retailers will throw in a free game with a purchase of a Vita. Like last year Gstop threw in lego batman and spy hunter.
If they do that again, pick up the walking ded bundle, get a free game then just sell those off to get Killzone

Woah what? Maybe in the lyrics for the music department. It's quite a bit more edgy but P4 oozs with style that P3 and almost any other game under the sun wishes it had. Then again, my definition for style is different than yours but, P4 had more of it imo.

I'm inclined to agree with the song choices, but MC is just some depressive little sack of uninteresting. He's boring. His speech options suck. His attitude sucks. He's just some generic self-insertion filler character.

Sly? I haven't played either but I pick Sly.
I have Sonic on PC and played Sly almost all on vita. I like Sly more, but that's because I prefer platformers over racing games but Sonic is a very good game. Can be tough on the higher difficulties so if you want all the unlockables hold on to your butt. The game is less item dependent so it's all about skill in the end.
Sly is probably the best of the Sly games. Strikes a much better balance of missions and minigames than any of the previous games, and the hub worlds are designed well enough that even playing as Sly's friends it's not cumbersome to get to each mission. Game is 30fps compared to Ps3's 60 but it's also much more stable. Getting the plat is real annoying though. Look up a guide first so you don't have to do some annoying backtracking if that's your thing.
FeMC is basically fan fiction. MC is the real lead character of that game.
His attitude is awesome too. He doesn't give a fuck. His walk animation is also GOAT. FeMC is stuck in the P3P ghetto.
It's entertaining watching you guys argue who's the better silent character.

FeMC will never be canon, because that's who the game is made for. The Japanese people. The same people who gobble up that self insertion crap like hotcakes and cling to it and would outrage if Atlus were to ever make a FeMC the Main in a Persona. They're holding them back. Then again, that's assuming the creators would even care about moving radically in a different direction.
Ahhhh, you mean the characters. Yes. Agreed. They look all around better. But, when it comes to the overall package of presentation, P4 wins hands down. It makes relatively bold visual design choices that no other games would even dare to dream of trying to pull off.
I don't give a fuck about the story of P3. It's not that good. I'm more invested in the character interactions. And not only does FeMC interact more, she interacts better, friendlier, gives me more options, and is more fun to play through (as a mouthpiece for my thoughts).

Omega, ignore the Sly recommendations. You won't handle the FUCKING load times. The game is great fun, when you get there. But it's not worth it after a few plays. It's too much imo unless you really love platforming

I did enjoy the game and it is crossbuy (on the ps3 version anyway, last I checked it wasn't on vita for the uk store. £20 for either :/)
Sonic is lots of fun. Great port of the console version. Not quite as lovely as the PC version (60fps, no lagging in water). Has other dips but mostly inconsequential. Lots of challenge which I know you'll like and loads of content. Great game.
Try the demo for sure, but I loved it myself. Angry Birds + Swords vs Soldiers + online + lighthearted but entertaining cutscene and decent campaign to get you to grips with things and isn't annoying. Also you can send your own hero in as well!
Great game. Also note, you can tap to shoot for those desperate shots - for some reason it doesn't tell you.

P3's cast's style and classiness destroys P4's cast.
I am currently playing P3 FES on PS3... soooooooo many awesomenessssssssss. The MC's persona awakening scene is so much better here than in P4, and significantly way dramatic/better than the shamelessly neutered one in P3P.

That's why I'm hesitant to buy P3P. A P3P FES would have been amazing on the Vita.
If a vita port of P3 is planned, it's probably going to be announced during the big (presumably P5) announcement on the 24th. After that it's probably pretty safe to buy P3P
P4,in some parts, does have some presentation than P3. With that aside though, I just whole hardly prefer P3 in every aspect. In terms of story, characters, location, etc.
Don't get me wrong, P4 is a wonderful game, and I'd rec it to anyone who is looking to get into a JRPG, but there were a lot of parts in P4 that I heavily disliked. I hated how everyone was just so clingy to you. Like their whole lives were so dependent on MC. No wonder after MC
left inaba and in the events of P4A they don't have their final personas anymore

I think the difference in stylishness is due to P3's urban setting vs. P4's provincial Inaba. IIRC, Chie's design for example was *intentionally* tacky (button pins on a tracksuit ffs) to reflect her "unrefined" personality at the beginning of the story. By the end of P4 (the screenshot you linked to) the characters all look
drastically different to show their growth and development since the events of P4. But they're not meant to match the P4 MC in swag though (plus that would be out of character for most of them). BTW, I've never gotten over how ridiculous Kanji looks without bleached hair.
In Inaba's defense, the boonies can be stylish too. I digged the school uniform
then again for the 2nd one, Rise is wearing a traditional outfit so that could be applied anywhere in Japan
Atlus will find any excuse to re-release P3. And it's one rehash that I'd happily support.
P3 FES has your AI party members shitting themselves every other round while you frantically do damage control (unless it's an easy battle).
P3P/P4/P4G gives you the option to control each party member directly.

Well, a lot, especially if you compare it P3/P3FES to P4G.
You can't be "friends" with the girls in Social Links, for example. You can't directly control your team-mates. You can't freely select skills to be inherited to Personas during fusion (makes the whole process a lot more frustrating but when you do manage to get a cool skill list THAT MORE SATISFYING!)
Objectively, P4G offers so much refinement to P3/P3FES in terms of gameplay. However, in terms of everything else, it is in my honest opinion that P3/P3FES destroys P4/P4G.
Well, you can't expect him to be as classy as Akihiko, Yu, or especially P3's MC, can you.

Exact reason I chose P3P for the version I will play someday, unless a Vita remake comes out in the vein of P4G.
