Yep I have zero confidence in them getting me the ps4 for Friday. Seems like Future shop or BB was a better option seeing they already begun charging people's cards.

Yeah, I pre-ordered right after the event thinking Amazon.ca = Amazon.com level of awesomeness, then when other outlets made pre-orders available I stuck to my guns and didn't pre-order anywhere else. I won't give my business to amazon Canada anymore, Futureshop and BB seems to understand electronics and videogames better (As in serious business).
Too late for me anyways, I guess 1 week later is better than nothing.

Not that I want to scare you, but Amazon.ca is the worst! I preordered the Heart of the Swarm LE with them when it went up for order, and it just said 'preparing to ship' for days before and after launch. then when I messaged them to ask about what the issue was, they admitted they underestimated how many copies they would need, so they were looking for more.

I promptly canceled with them, and remade my order with Amazon.com. It shipped within 3 hours. Never again.

Ugh, was really hoping that it would arrive this weekend as it's shipping to my folks house where I'm visiting instead of mine.... Maybe I should change the address before it's too late if it won't get there on time...

I went ahead and did this too. Does this mean we'll get an alert and have an option to schedule it for pickup at a facility instead of delivery?

That is my understanding. You may have to enter a tracking number in first though. I have Man of Steel Bluray shipping soon. Maybe it'll give me a chance to test drive this thing.

Once I get the tracking number I'm switching delivery to pick up from facility. Since I'm taking friday off, I want the console on 8.30am on Friday not 8pm...

I'd make sure to check the facility's hours. The closest and the one I was going to use doesn't open until 3 PM lol. Luckily another appears to be open at 8:30AM not too much further away though. My only concern was if Amazon doesn't get a tracking number until late on Thursday night and would that have an affect on being able to get it to a certain facility by Friday morning.

UPS doesn't deliver to my place until (sometimes) as late as 6:00 PM. Has anyone ever tried the "Hold for Pick-up" option? It says they deliver it to a Customer Service location of your choice by 8:30 a.m. on the scheduled day of delivery.

I do hold for pick-up on every package I get so I can pick it up after work. Works great. Just make sure to do it before the actual delivery day or it will go out on the truck and you won't be able to pick it up until like 7.

So I preordered my KZ Launch bundle in early July, says estimated delivery is the 15th like most but I could only select two day shipping from the get go.

So, will mine ship in "two days", essentially early, thus showing up sometime Friday or am I stuck getting it next Tuesday-ish?

Huh? Games have been shipping since Thursday (3 days ago). A handful of people are getting their games today, some tomorrow (that includes me). Although I assume you think it will ship Thursday (since it's 2-Day shipping).

It's also usually a guy in what looks like his personal car, so I don't know that I want my PS4 sitting around like that.

That Lasership company is cool for overnight, because sometimes Ill wake up and my package will already be at my house, but other times they miss delivery days. It's also usually a guy in what looks like his personal car, so I don't know that I want my PS4 sitting around like that.

However I've taken the feedback about the carrier "OnTrac" and I'll forward it to our concerned department.

I've never had issue with overnight stuff from them, only the free 2nd day prime shipping and in that case they are usually horrible. Either way I don't want them to be the one delivering my PS4.

My apologies. For some reason I thought over night shipping was Thursday to Friday. But then again, I guess that would only be the case if they shipped it late Thursday. If they prepare it for shipping late Wednesday, and actually ship it Thursday morning, then 2 day shipping it's Friday, correct?

I should know better. Been using Amazon for 5 years now, and have been a Prime member for at least 3. The shipping stuff still confuses my brain.
