Humble Store launch

If I didn't already have and love Rogue Legacy, I'd be all over it. But I'll definitely be pushing all my friends to grab it. I'm strangely tempted to get Euro Truck Simulator 2 though.

Yes!!!! Prison Architect will finally be mine, I was going to wait til Friday to buy it but I'll just do it today :D now all I need is Spacebase DF-9.

Those prices

I'm speechless.

How can you be so ridiculously gullible? You're linking to the official Red Cross website. Well what in the name of everything do you think they would say? I'm literally at a loss for words. Fuck humanity. People are so naive and gullible it hurts. You go to northkorea.com or whatever and it says "North Korea has the highest living standards on earth" and you're like: "everyone else must be full of crap". I mean yeah. Because they totally wouldn't say that.

Er... did you just ignore the other link?

Okay. I bought The Swapper in the hope that they add Xbox 360 controller support soon.

i'm not sure if you're serious right now, but 4 of the 5 charities that humble gives to has good to great ratings on www.charitynavigator.org, an independent charity evaluator. the 5th, is childs play and i can't seem to find any info at all on that one (the childsplay on that site seems to be a different charity involving theatre)

heres another CNN article that backs up charitynavigators numbers on the Red Cross http://money.cnn.com/2013/05/24/pf/donations-charities/

I'm surprised they're opening the store so late, many devs have been using their back-end to sell games for many months now. I'm hoping it becomes popular, we need strong competitors to the Steam store.

Looks like it's finally time to buy in on Prison Architect and Rogue Legacy. Impressive sale. All of those games are great.

Thank you for posting these fellow GAFfer.

The most tempted title in here for me is the Euro Truck Simulator 2 but I can perfectly wait, for now, even if such price won't be possible in the next sale. There will always be another Steam sale.

The Swapper is also great game for the little time I played, amazing atmosphere, can't wait to spend more time with it too!

I'm liking the design of the site. Good too see more places to buy games.

Speaking of which.. I bought Don't Starve because it wasn't listed in my game list even though I do have it, I just have to search for it o.O

Would anyone be interested in swapping Natural Selection 2 for my Don't Starve?

Not everyone's cheering for the Humble Store (Indie Statik)

It's mostly because Child's Play is one of the charities, it's created by Penny Arcade, and you apparently can't pick which charity the money goes to.

But I'm agreed with others in the comments that while Penny Arcade people might have terrible attitudes to certain groups of people, Child's Play is a saving grace from them.

It wouldn't work with 360 controller at all. There's a good reason why they don't support it.
According to the dev, they've had a build which fully supports the Xbox 360 Controller since Aug. They have committed to releasing it soon.

Olli is working on the controller and Steam Big Picture support for the game and we'd need your help for this! The game is currently working 100% on Xbox 360 controller but we'd like to cover as many controllers as possible.

I'm so tempted to buy this but I understand it's mouse and keyboard only at the moment although Xbox 360 controller support is supposedly coming.

As much as I prefer controllers for most games, I can't imagine you would get the fidelity of control you would need in The Swapper from a controller.

Penny Arcade's founders might be tactless twats, but Child's Play is the best and nicest thing they have done. There is no reason to hate Child's Play

Yeah, that seems pretty petty.

The store looks really nice, I just wish they would do something different with their YouTube videos. That voiceover, ugh.

Edit: I now have a surreal night ahead of me: Oculus Rift-powered Euro Truck Simulator 2 with William Onyeabor blaring on the radio. Thanks, Humble Store!

I'm surprised nobody here seems excited about Orcs Must Die 2. Do we all just own it already? 'cause it's easily the best game available in that sale, out of those I've played.

I don't know about Child's Play, but American Red Cross? Big organizations like the Red Cross, Unicef and the like are horrible.

Actually, the Red Cross has an extremely minimal overhead and spends upwards of 90% of its take on actual charitable services, something you could have found out for yourself with literally five minutes of effort.

I'm curious to see if you want to come back and admit that you were severely misinformed, though!

I'm basically using the Humble Store to go "okay, these are the games that I'll be getting in a Humble Indie Bundle in a month or two. Sweet!"

predicted this in the last thread. didn't expect it so quickly. client with P2P distribution (reduce that bandwidth bill) will be their next move IMO.

Nice idea but I wonder if it compromises the bundle's future..
Will likely avoid as I prefer to support a charity closer to home if at all.

I can vouch for the swapper. Super game with fingerprints of Braid in the puzzles/storytelling
