It might be that the code was already redeemed and thus gave you the trial. I had that problem a few year ago when Laughing Jackal gave out codes for one of their games.
They're giving out codes for all their games so Vita and PSM. Don't think they're giving PS3 codes.

This is weird. I'm still downloading the game but is it really just 170+mb? The trial was 190mb.
Edit: Damn. It still got the unlock the full game to the left side.

Looking forward to getting this next week (same as the XB1 with Forza and Ryze). Should make the last weeks wait for the PS4 fly past
I must admit I'm on the fence about picking it up. It's not really a genre I'm keen on and with the PS4 dropping a week later and a huge Vita backlog to work through, I'm just not seeing any room for it at the moment. Still, I'll probably change my mind once positive impressions start rolling in.

I'm pretty sure no IGC title is supposed to be there for more than 1 year.
With PS3 games, they change them out every E3.
So why would they NOT change out the Vita ones 1 year after they were released?

That sucks, as said above it might be that the code has already been used, I guess you just gotta keep trying.
For me the full game was 223mb, but I'm in Europe so there might be a difference. You can probably tell if it's the full game if it downloads two things, the game and an unlock.

I didn't know that. Thanks you for the heads up though. I will be more vigilant the next time these freebies are given.

I tried a few of the Velocity Ultra codes, and they seem to download... the demo. Even though it downloads two files, installing both seems to yield only the demo. The Coconut Dodge codes yielded "invalid code", probably meaning those are already redeemed.

There's a huge problem with that -- all codes will redeem and look like you got it -- until everything is installed and you go to boot and see it still has an unlock full game.
I had this happen back when PSNStores was giving out the extra codes they had and they were nice enough to PM me one anyway.
That said, the demo is like 1/3 of the full game -- you just don't get trophies... but it's around 20 levels (at least) of the game fully accessible.
It's a shame the game had too many bugs for me to find it enjoyable at the end... flinging bombs through walls still makes me range and I already got my platinum.

Yeah I noticed they were DMing people so I thought I'd ask - just downloaded it and (having put off GAFFER advice) realise I should have bought it. This is really fun.

(1) It was free in EU for PS+ subscribers... you're in EU, this means you weren't PS+ at the time. Shame on you.
(2) After the debacle with it being from for EU and then taking 8 weeks to come to the US where it launched at full price? That's probably SCEA's fault, but I'm still not going to support it. Even worse, those extra 8 weeks in certification didn't really have any profound effect on the eradication of bugs contained within the game... at least not in my copy.
Don't get me wrong... Futurlab makes great games -- but I think if I had paid money for Velocity Ultra, I would regret it (much like my MHFU purchase).
Did they DM you an EU code instead of an NA code?

How can you hate on P3P? Game is great. I assume everyone who owns a vita already owns like ten copies of P4G anyway.

I was - but I didn't have a Vita and I didn't think to put the Vita games in my queue. I missed out on MGS 2+3 as well

The problem is its trash. If you have PS3's or PS2's buy FES and thank me later
It hurts to say so but I think Castlestorm would be better on a tablet. I started to play touch only and it is much better than the normal controls. Unfortunately, the touch is just an afterthought so the UI isn't optimized for it. A bigger screen would also help.
Aiming with the touch is definitely easier and it has an additional perk of being able to spawn troops while shooting.
I hope they'll do a giveaway for the Vita native version of Surge. I already bought the PSM version and won't double dip.

Your hatred for P3P is unreal. It's like it killed your firstborn child or something.
That's a shame -- because it's their "love letter to GAF". Surge was good enough as a PSM game that I'll buy a Vita version if it's not too expensive (providing there's no delay between EU/NA release and it's not free for PS+ in EU and not NA).
That said, you'll probably get it free in PS+ over in EU, so don't even worry.
I knew I liked you for a reason. This is exactly right.
Wandering around the "3D town" or whatever in P4G was one of the worst parts of the game... it could be such a chore to get to where you wanted to go to have a single conversation before having to go all the way over to another part.
I seroiusly doubt I'll miss the anime cutscenes either.
But what I would miss is having control over 100% of my party. Leaving 75% of my actions in the hands of the AI? Hell no. Not happening.

It's more about control really. What P3P sacrificed in FES, it made up with full control of party members.

So you guys heard of the P5 rumor? GAF has got substantial clues leading to its announcement in the coming weeks. I hope they release on Vita. Seeing how well received P4G was, I doubt they'll ignore the platform. Right Atlus? RIGHT?

Can I ask a question? Does the P3P contain FES stuff like the robot girl?
I enjoy P3P greatly, I have P4G and Arena to thank for my P3P purchase, and thanks to P3P I've lost nearly 20lbs in two months from just solely playing it while I use my excercise bike, what should be only a 30 min workout turns into an hour and a half 12 mile workout when I grind dungeons.

I see then you don't really miss that much. Honestly unless you have a PS3, you guys should consider purchasing this game.
Me though... I'm still waiting for the eventual Sapphire/Blue whatever name Atlus puts there version.
I don't want to triple dip.
Preferred Persona 3 portable by a mile to persona 4 golden. P4G is good, but it lacks the weight that P3P has.
