Super Smash Bros Wii U and 3DS Thread 3: Ridley's Believe It or Not!

should have been a shot of villager with the net completely covering a character

which would be revealed tomorrow as ZELDA during the nintendo direct

"Pic of the day. The Villager's bug catching net that was shown in the movie is actually a grapple move. It is sort of like Link's Clawshot and Samus's Grapple Beam."

Not sure how it would work like the Clawshot or Grapple, since the Net can't really extend to catch ledges and such, but hey.

And we continue to fill out Villager's moveset...

well guess ill head to bed, daily pic revealed earlier than expected, and unfortunately for me, whether there is a character reveal tomorrow or not, it doesnt matter, Ill be at work freezing my ass off on a roof, night smashgaf

Villager caught Lucina dressed as Link.

teehee not in the game.

Grapple and not tether like yoshi's grab. Maybe he swings it over his head lol.

I kind of hope you can flip the net around and drop someone out of the net and off of the stage while near an edge.

I just want more opportunities to piss people off online, honestly.

That's a really cool grab. Hopefully it's really fast like in the AC games... the main problem with Link and Samus' grabs, while cool and true to the games, is that they're slow as fuuuuuuuuuuck

You better not dash
You better not shield
Because if you do
You'll surely be killed
The Villager is coming to town
He's bringing an axe
And bringing a net
You better get ready and you better get set
The Villager is coming to town
He sees you when you wavedash
He knows when you l-cancel
He knows if you're a pro or not
So practice or then you'll get stomped
O! You better not dash
You better not shield
Because if you do then
you'll surely get killed
The Villager is coming to town!!!!!

2/10 try harder

I wonder if the size of the net is dependent upon the character in it. Very interested in seeing Bowser get caught in it.

Edit- voltronbadA gets a 9/10. Only because shield and killed is a bit forced. Otherwise it's fantastic as always.

Yeah, their grabs are just extremely risky to use, and are rarely ever worth it unless you're using it to punish...

Zero Suit Samus's grab is just the worst, and it just feels so against her play style.

Is it bad that I wanted the net to be semi-transparent?

I really, really don't think you'd want to see the severe terror and anguish on Link's face.

I agree, this one didn't come to me nearly as easily as most of my smashing carols. I usually only do them when new info has been shown in the screenshot but felt extra festive tonight

Glad some people are enjoying them though! :)

And we always do, look forward to the rest to come. :)
