"Like a one man human centipede"

Because this streamer is clearly not very bright. He couldn't follow basic instructions his friends were giving him. The PS4 was likely dead anyways but he's just basically spamming the power button hoping something happens.

He already said there was no picture on the tv. What is he going to take a picture of?

Poor guy, I actually feel sorry for him.

He was clearly nervous and his hands were shaking, he probably didn't even "got it" that he gave personal information to a lot of people. Getting a PS4 Day one and having such issues like that is sad, hoping for the best for everyone else no matter if they are in NA or Europe. I hope I can get mine on November 29th but I don't want NA to beta test it, I want NA to have great fun and post their impressions, pick-ups and so on. Despite all this, great times are coming indeed and I can only wish the very best to us all. Can't wait!

That new thread title. :lol

What's the run down was OP not able to get ps4 going? If so that sucks, sorry OP hopefully Sony takes care of you. Also tweet Taco Bell a bunch and see if you can get a bunch of free burritos.

Everytime I read a post of you I want to hug you...

Yeah seemed like he was really excited and i guess the brick just having a toll on him. He probably should not have unplugged it and now he's given away all his info lol.

Also maybe the taco bell units are made cheap to match the food at Taco Bell?

What the fuck is going on in here?

Console breaks, dude gives his private information on web and now dude is fucked. Is that it?

Why would you livestream this? No sympathy for this guy, he's actively trying to make his life worse. What is wrong with people today?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if a PS3 locks up, you can still hold down the power button and it will eventually turn off, without having to yank the power cord out, right? I assume this system probably does the same thing.

While I do believe this is a software/firmware issue, I'm also thinking that something is triggering it, either user error (in this case), or something else.

no just five out of thousands, everyone is just over reacting for no reason.

Well... I wouldnt say that.
The OT had apparently the exact same problem. Than a random guy, streaming, have his console bricked. Also... I read here that Polygon's PS4 also get a problem during streamming (still dont know if the same).

If thats true, and in fact it seems legit, I believe that this could be a serious problem. Those PS4s broked at day 1. There are much more out there, but we dont know about everyone... and not all of them will have problem at the same day.

If its legit how it seems to be... its serious. Probably a big failure rate.

And no... im not a hater. I bought my PS4 already at my country and probably with no coming back (not without headache), and I do not pre-ordered any Xbox One.

But this is serious.

He said he finished the update, he was downloading DCU Online, and unplugged his system while it was "downloading".

Why he unplugged his system, who knows. But you're never supposed to just yank the power out while your console is on, regardless of it downloading anything or not.

Yeah, mine locked up a few times before (first time playing Mortal Kombat and GoW:A). All I did was hold down the power button and everything worked fine after that.

wait so he turned off his ps4 during a update or was it done updating?

According to some...while the update was downloading.

According to others...while he was downloading DCU.

All in all he still pulled the plug on a system that was turned on.

Yup.

No one knows if this guy just yanked the cord or if he actually tried the method of holding down the power button.
