"Like a one man human centipede"

This is horrible, a goddamn travesty. But I can't turn away. Lol.

People like this don't deserve a nice piece of hardware because they obviously don't know how to maintain it correctly, or learn from mistakes made 20 minutes ago.

PS4 releasing too early when it's not fully ready. They tried to make Xbox One release even earlier, but now they are facing the consequences.
To be fair, plug pulling while doing an install on PC is pretty damn likely to corrupt something on your hardrive. Sadly, I've seen it happen, guy got blue screen of death afterward and blamed me for not trying harder to stop him.

No don't jump to conclusions, this is the way he got it to boot into safemode before and fixed it. Its the only known way to solve this issue so far.

Yeah, the first time he turned the PS4 off before he opened it and removed the HDD. This time he left the PS4 ON when he removed it

Yeah, this is devolving to become pretty sad at this point. I don't know why he still pulls the plug and replaces the HDD while the power is on. These choices aren't helping his case.

he should have at least turned it off first. wouldn't it corrupt the thing while on and he removed it?

He did turn it off to remove it, he just booted it without a HDD inside it so an error message comes up putting it into safe mode.

How it was fixed before:
1. You have to unplug your HDD
2. Boot the Console without HDD and it will load Safe Mode (white lightbar) and asks for a HDD
3. Turn off, plug in the HDD again and boot the Console again
4. PS4 will boot into Safe Mode again and you can recover now the necessary OS Data, PS4 will start again and will boot into OS again.

I missed a lot of this, and I can't stay and watch the rest. I hope this is archived. The 10 minutes that I've watched have been really wonderful.

I do feel bad for the guy, though. I wish I could just send him away while I fix it for him.

I would have just said "Sony, send me a box to return this thing for a repair" and then gone and watched porn or something. I give this guy credit for persistence.

He turned it on "accidentally"...

He "accidentally" physically reached over, and physically pressed the power button with his fingers.

Then he blamed the PS4 for being "so sensitive."

...

Really, there are no words for how stupid this guy is.

And his brother just now said "Your button's faulty. It's the only way..."

SMH.
