Why doesn't he try manually cycling through the HDMI inputs with a TV remote instead of letting it auto-switch.

THe 360 was working on HDMI 2 and this is on HDMI 1. This makes no sense.

Use the cable and input of the Xbox, exactly how it was. Or toggle the HDMI inputs manually.
