I really dont like people who say "Nah he's faking, nobody is dumb like that." People are stupid. The moment you get an IT job or any information job, you learn really fast that people are stupid. Never doubt about how clueless people can be. You tell them to go on the first set of elevator, they will go to the second.
People will forget to plug the computer in the wall. People will put goddamn coffee in the CD Drive. People do click on "You won 1000000$". The Nigerian scam got millions of dollars scammed last year.
So yeah. People are dumb. I have no reason to doubt this guy.

Look. This is a comedy of errors. People are thinking that two beeps is the key. It's NOT!

There's instructions there on how to get into safe mode.
Note that it says the two beep thing is ONLY for IF the light is ORANGE.
So what he needs to do is this:
1) STOP FUCKING SWITCHING INPUTS
2) Plug the PS4's HDMI into HDMI Input 2
3) Set the TV to HDMI2. The reason why I say HDMI2 for the input is so we are using a completely different input for certain and to check the connection chain properly.
4) Make sure the PS4 does NOT have the hard drive plugged in and that the PS4 is completely turned off.
5) Now Unplug the power from the system. JUST TO MAKE SURE IT'S OFF.
6) Plug the power into the system. DO NOT ACCIDENTALLY HIT THE FUCKING POWER BUTTON.
7) Now, Touch the power button lightly on the PS4 and hold it in for 7 seconds UNTIL IT BEEPS. Hopefully this will put it into safe mode. DO NOT SWITCH INPUTS WHILE IT'S DOING THIS. The system has to do handshaking with the TV.

I admit I'm an idiot when it comes to PC gaming, so I guess what I'm saying is that if this guy is having so much trouble with a console, I can't imagine he's a hardcore PC gamer. Thats exactly when it died....for some reason he had 2 DCUO downloads going concurrently, and he left them and his PS4 just shut off by itself. Then, he tries to do the fix he did before but pulled the HD out without turning power off, now it won't go into safemode boot.
