Myth busted.

My PS3 does two rapid-beeps, I just rebooted it yesterday b/c of handshaking issues, and it totally rapid-beeped. It's a firmware thing, the HDD status shouldn't affect it.

If anyone can contact him ask him if he releases the power button immediately after turning it on, and prior to holding the button. THIS IS WHY IT TURNS OFF WHEN HE TRIES TO GET THE SECOND BEEP.
 
Ok, if he has checked and changed HDMI cables and inputs and even did the 2 beeps and it still doesn't work then IT DOESN'T WORK.

The PS4 is faulty. Most likely the HDMI port.
Give it up.

I'm inclined to believe you. He got excited that thousands are watching his stream and wants to milk it for all it's worth.

I wouldn't call repeatedly taking the hard drive out of the PS4 or pressing a button for a long time, or hell, even chosing to format your hard drive via your ps4 when you get it working after an obvious hard drive failure particulary hard. He just keeps repeating the same things Ad Nauseum.

Now, if greater than 3%(of the 4000 taco bell ps4s in the wild 125 of them would need to have this issue) of PS4's have this problem then you can have this conversation.
 
But man, imagine if it did come out that this was a guerilla marketing hit piece by a competitor. Would that be the biggest scandal in VG history?
 
It seems like each time I come back to the stream, his TV will say HDMI1 or HDMI2, but has he ever actually switched the HDMI cable into the TV?

If it's been in the same slot on the TV but he's been randomly on HDMI1 or HDMI2 for 20 minutes at a time, then wtf is going on.

I know right. Can't believe this is spun to the point where he's the problem and not the PS4. It's a safe bet that the 4,000 armchair quarterbacks giving him instructions in chat don't even have their PS4s yet.

Or the console is faulty and doing the same thing over and over again won't fix anything? Just a thought.

I don't think he's trolling us, his PS4 clearly has a problem. But its been 10 hours. It's time to admit there's nothing he can do. It may have worked before, but its dead now.

I mentioned the definition of insanity earlier, but what does that make us who watch him doing insane things for 8-10 hours?

Still, stupidity aside, if a good percentage act like this for launch... meltdown commences.
 
At this point the infomercial gifs and the rage in this thread is more entertaining than the stream. I can't anymore. Hopefully I'll read this thread later/tomorrow and this will be fixed miraculously.

I think the biggest tipping point for me was him being so happy to have this many people watching.

Now he's gloating about everyone talking about him. He's hamming it up for sure.
