Vita PSN Game & Service Thread | November 2013 | Tearaway into a new world

Makes for a very relaxing but nutty experience.

Also found the mushroom medicine shop in retro city rampage, having more fun with that :)

Star Wars Racer huh, loved that game :) I would like to try it out on a big tv and native etc but think I'll probably play it most on Vita. Had a long time to grab it on PS3 and didn't. Cross-buy seals it. Lame they don't include an option to tweak sensitivity though, that's just bad.

Is there a Star Wars racer for the Vita?

I take it back, Jak and Daxter is amazing, it's hard to believe Naughty Dog went from this to The Last of Us.

Playing this has got me really excited for Tearaway and a good collect-a-thon :)

I was gonna grab the Vita version of Rayman Legends today but my local EB seems to have cleared out their Vita shelf (which was mostly full before) so now I'm deciding between Earth Defense Force or Muramasa, tough decision.
For no Western release?

Yeah, it's pretty weird looking back to when Naughty Dog used to do platformers and now seeing the company do games such as The Last of Us and Uncharted.

Nah just angry birds and lego afaik :P Oh star wars pinball too.

It's pretty damn old title though, would be quite awesome still. I used to have the PC version but I know it came to n64 too.

Okay. I mean, I played that StarWars racing game that was for arcade machine and loved it. The arcade center was near the cinema where I used to go with my parents when I was little.

And every single time I went there I asked to my parents to give my 100 pesetas (old spanish currency) and have a match. Damn, now I want to play it again :(

That gave me the opposite impression. Seems like PP is testing the waters for a Western release of the Neptunia remakes/Vita fanbase for the series in the West, but we'll see how it goes.

I hope that the Neptunia remakes get English versions though. I've never tried the series and a remake of the original would be a good entry point, that or the Anime. :P

Do we know if Re;Birth 1 or 2 have any DLC included or are we gonna have to buy all those costumes pieces of extra content again?

Re;Birth1 has the DLC included I believe. There's supposed to be new paid character DLC releasing for it at some point though.

Have considered picking it up because I kind of like the xbox girl, but everything else is too moe for me and it's made by IF/CH, which I'm not a fan of in the least.

Then you've got to question NISA's logic in localising the arguably nicher of the two choices first, if that is the case.

I hope this isn´t teasing to much... but this happened last night.

I have $30. And only $30. I can either buy Tearaway, another year of PS+ (Mine expire Black Friday) from Gamestop, or other Vita games... that I really think I want. Tearaway or PS+ or Indie Games?
Go for ps+, you wont want that to expire, plus youll get more longevity out of it while you build funds for tearaway. And indie games may go on sale or free on ps+ by the time you have money to buy them again.

Ps+ is such a good deal. Tearaway will be an amazing game for sure, but itll always be there. The discounts and free games on plus wont be.

Tell us! After Knack, I'm starting to get a little worried about my preorders this month.

why be worried? Knack always looked like garbage, and Tearaway always looked incredible.

PS+ is the better value but Tearaway needs the sales.

Re;birth1 is a full on remake with substantial differences, so it's not a given all the DLC from the original will even be in it. Nisa, Gust, Red and 5pb. are gone it seems, while the CPU candidates and supporting cast from Victory (Broccoli, Falcom, MarvelousAQL, etc.) have been added.

Hey! This is my first post here =] I've chosen to do it among the Vitabros, as you are the coolest community this side of the internet.

I hope we can play lots of Soul Scrifice and Dragon's Crown online, and share tears and smiles over the course of life of the best handheld ever <3!

Any VitaGAF from Brazil? I'd love to use the bump on friend's list by adding some Brazilian dudes to play with (or anyone who can put up with the lag from the distance and bad ISPs over here).

Hey, welcome! I'm not from Brazil, but I wouldn't mind having someone new to play SS with; my PSN is gmrtom7, if you're interested.

Count me in for some Dragon's Crown. And SS too, after it comes out on PS+ :)

You guys are so awesome =3
I've sent request to all of you already!

And forgot to mention I have EDF too! It hasn't been much fun to play alone..

EDIT: you are awesome!

Just wanted to share this :

The Vita has had a very positive effect in my workplace. I work with inner city/underprivelged youths. There can be beahvioural issues at times, so in an attempt to curb negative behaviour I used my Vita. Postive work and attitude were rewarded with Vita time. You could then trade in your points to game on the Vita. It has been so successful in promoting positive behaviour, I have just been given a budget to buy several more systems for the intsititue.

Can anyone recommend some multiplayer games that focus on teamwork and communication? Cheers.

There are some PSP and PS Vita games. The things I mainly know are:

Monster Hunter Freedom Unite
Gods Eater Burst
Soul Sacrifice
Dragon's Crown
Little Big Planet
Dungeon Hunter Alliance
Ragnarok Odyssey
Worms Revolution Extreme
Bomberman Games
Lord of Arcana
Metal Gear Solid Peacewalker/HD collection
Metal Slug Anthology

Bolded the ones you can just pick up and play.

Great idea on the point system BTW.

Just found out, that I have another PS+ trial code for the EU. That make 2 keys to give away. If anyone wants them, feel free to PM me. Have to be with a EU account that have never ever had a plus subscription or other trials activated before that.

Then you've got to question NISA's logic in localising the arguably nicher of the two choices first, if that is the case.
I suppose I could understand if you're given the option between the choice of the remake of the original game that was on the PS3 not too long ago and a spin-off but yeah I still would have gone with Re;birth personally.

That's just me speculating though, I'm probably wrong.
I hope this isn´t teasing to much... but this happened last night.
I envy you, getting to play Tearaway to platinum early must be great!
(even if you do have to write up a review for it)

Also add Rayman Legends or maybe Unit 13? Probably not Unit 13, but Rayman Legends is solid

PP came out first, so localization could have started earlier? Tamsoft might have be able to schedule localization programming earlier than Felistella?

Didn't get an answer on this in the PS4 thread, does anyone know what the state of the Vita-as-ps4 controller thing is? I think I remember Yosp tweeting that it can't be used as a second controller, but can I use it for player one while player 2 is on a DS4?

The functionality is already in the latest Vita firmware, but it's not a universal feature - the games themselves need to have support for it.

Bought a white Vita yesterday! I AM ONE OF YOU NOW!

What's kind of annoying me is that the asian version always makes O the confirm button. I was always used to X to confirm. What makes it worse is that some games still use X for confirm as well. Other than that this thing is amazing! Already spent 100 dollars on games so far.

My point wasn't about localisation starting earlier, it was that PP is a super niche in terms of genre, even with the Neptunia brand behind it.

How would you rate the game?

Well, he Platinumed the game.

I mean, unless he's an obsessive compulsive Trophy hunter, I'd take that as a sign that he enjoyed the game.

I've only ever platinumed 5 games; Uncharted 1 and 2, inFAMOUS 1 and 2, and Ratchet and Clank: ACIT. Not because I wanted a Platinum, but because I loved playing those games so much that I kept going back to them to the point where I eventually got the Platinum trophy.

I only played Tearaway for a little bit at E3, and fell in love with it. I wasn't even that excited for it until I finally got my hands on it.
