NA GAF - Post your PS4 shipment info!

Did anybody else order the Battlefield Bundle? When mine shipped today I received an email from amazon that says my bundle qualifies me for a 12 month suscription of playstation plus. Now I thought that was coming inside the box with my bundle. Is this an additional year for free or what? I received a promotional code also, why would I need that if my Playstation plus card is coming with my bundle?

Shipping status? NOTHING! My wife even called me at work earlier to ask me if they had charged our card, since she's paying bills. She checked for me, and they haven't done a damn thing!

Checked my account, and there's been no change...

Last time I EVER use them for anything important ever again!

I actually doubt UPS is under an obligation to not release it. Technically, they don't necessarily even know what's in the package other than its a package with a specified time and rate.
 
Got mine about 30 min ago. Wal-Mart seems to have shipped some already.
...Which is weird because delivery originally was estimated between the 20th and 25th.

I don't think they'd need to know what's in the box to have the supplier notify them if they can or cannot release it. Again, I know nothing of UPS or Amazon's policies about this. Just a guess. I hope I am wrong.
 
Ups.com just says a shipping label has been created, hasn't even reached one of there facility's. I'm in Minnesota and it's shipping from Kentucky. Wonder what's going on.
 
So I called Amazon after my arrival date slipped to next week. They were super helpful, comped my shipping costs and it'll be here Friday. Got notification that it left the wearhouse around 1am this morning.

I answered this a couple pages back.

So quoting this, because I think there are many others in the same boat (including me). So I talked to Amazon about this. But basically long story short, normally UPS related packages go from Amazon warehouse to close by UPS hub, then transited over to the recipient's closest UPS hub, then delivered locally. But in the case of the PS4s they are skipping the initial step of going to a UPS hub closest to the amazon warehouse, and straight into transit from Amazon's warehouse, hence the packages haven't been checked into UPS system yet.

In this case the initial step is being skipped and straight into transit because its not necessary since the entire truck is full of the same commodity (PS4s) and going to a specific regions UPS hub. It would be completely unnecessary to go to a local UPS hub from Amazon, since there is no sorting of packages needed. So when the truck reaches your local UPS hub, that is where it will be likely checked in and updated in UPS's system. Also because these are for release day guarantees as well as the logistics involved in such a huge quantity, any steps that can be skipped to guarantee release day delivery will likely have been taken. Hopefully this help others in the same situation.

FYI, I'm in the Bay Area with a KZSF launch day bundle.

hypothetically speaking, if I placed my order on Will Call through UPS My Choice, and it arrives at the Will Call location today, is there any chance I could swing by today and pick it up? I'd imagine it still has to be processed etc. Just curious. Gonna be torturous knowing it's a mile away all night.
 
It's 2:10 PM EST and my Launch Day Edition still shows up as Shipping Now. I contacted Amazon and they said I will still receive it tomorrow but I am still wary since they don't even have a tracking number yet. Anyone else having the same reservations I am and considering trying to get one at Walmart for midnight release?

You're fine. Mine said that for about 5 hours, it will update sooner or later with a tracking number.

I'd trust Amazon in this case. They are pretty good at this and have good relationships with UPS.

I have complete faith in Amazon and UPS. I've gotten the tracking number less than 24 hours before the package arrived.

My Amazon order has been sitting on "Preparing for Shipment" for hours now.

Meanwhile. I called BB and they said I could come in around 8am (of course I'll be there earlier) to pick up my pre-order.

If you change it to pickup, it's always the day after the request is initiated. This is what I see when I try to do it:

Package Available: Friday, 11/15/2013
 
My Sony.com order has finally shipped. Expedited shipping will get it here tomorrow. Order on Amazon is still preparing for shipment with an expected delivery date for tomorrow also.

Mine has also been stuck at "Shipping Now" since early this morning. I'd feel a lot better knowing it has shipped rather than sitting here wondering if it's going to arrive. Since it's "guaranteed" release date delivery I wonder what the "guarantee" is if that date isn't met, especially on an item like a PS4. If it doesn't arrive tomorrow then by the time I find out it's going to be even more difficult to walk into a store and pick one up...

this is exactly what my 2 look like right now. Both going to the Bay Area. No real tracking info on my Shipped Bundle though.
