NA GAF - Post your PS4 shipment info!

Be patient my friend. I was dealing with the same thing and then UPS updated and my package was magically in my town and back on schedule.

I preordered from amazon.ca June 10th literally the first minute it was available. Mine is not even shipped yet, not even preparing for shipment stage.

Central PA here.

Amazon finally shipped mine at 5:13 PM EST. Had been sitting at "Shipping Now" since about 8:00AM this morning. Delivery is scheduled for tomorrow before 8:00pm....

A UPS shipping label has been created. Once the shipment arrives at our facility, the tracking status will be updated.

I've seen this since I woke up today! MOOOOOOOOOVE!

Just checked again and almost jumped from excitement:

Just finished my call with amazon cs and ups supervisor.

Apparently the label has been printed and the package has left the original amazon facility(in SC)to another location in South Carolina waiting to be picked up by Ups for the last 17 hours.

Makes total sense right? Ya.

But they keep guaranteeing it will be at the shipping center tomorrow morning.
Clocks ticking.
For anyone whose Amazon shipment seems to be in limbo, this info might be helpful.

And for anyone like Lighthouse or myself who changed the delivery to shipping center "will call" pickup using My Choice and now has a shipping exception, this might be helpful.

1. I have a good friend who works for UPS and has been anxiously tracking his own shipment today. I gave him my tracking number and he checked in their system to see what was up. He said that the exception was triggered by the change to will call pickup. Normally an exception is definitely a bad thing that can delay shipment, but in this case it is just triggered in the system with the will call change and should not be cause for concern.

2. Because Amazon has such large volume they will sometimes do what is called a "line pull". This means they will scan an item as shipped, but instead of having it picked up by the nearest UPS shipping center, they will load up their own truck and drive it to a hub that is closer to the final delivery location, which is why for some of our orders, it doesn't show a "received at hub" scan for a long time after the original shipment is scanned. They do this so that they can eliminate a step in the UPS chain that would normally cause the shipment to take an extra day. So in my particular case, my PS4 shipped from Arizona as UPS Ground today and I live in the Bay Area in California. For UPS, that is a two day shipment. So he assumes that Amazon did a line pull in Arizona and is driving it themselves to a hub which is much closer to our location in California and dropping it there, thus allowing the shipment to get to the shipping location which serves my house in one day.

Ok, that was probably way too much information, but it at least explains some of the weirdness many of us are seeing in the UPS tracking updates and the delays in them getting scanned at a UPS hub.

Amazon is so weird to me. My PS4 is on the way, the camera is "Shipping Soon" along with a couple of non-PS4 items but all are due by tomorrow 8pm. I took the day off but since the FedEx rumor appears to be untrue, I will have to wait on slow UPS who rarely gets to my house before 2pm and often between 5-7pm. Still needed a day off tho.

Still "Shipping now". Getting nervous, I swear if it doesn't show up tomorrow or I get a brick...

haha @ gif.

Jelly of everyone here. I thought I wouldn't want one at launch, but seeing everyone get one makes me hyped as fuck. No preorder, might not get one for a while. :(

GL everyone though, gonna be an amazing weekend.

That sucks man. Hopefully it's a technical error.

I was replying to someone who had received a shipping notice but with the wrong date. UPS was simply behind on updating their system when the same thing happened to me.

I will light candles and pour out 40s for all you guys in limbo right now.

Excellent. Waiting on my shipment notice in GA. Been shipping now for a while so I assume it will be soon now.

Shipped here in ATL, plus amazon gave me a $10 promotional credit on any currently released PS4 game because of the watch dog bundle debacle!

Drove by Best Buy. Saw hundreds lined up. I couldn't help but laugh.

It's cold as a bitch here. Glad I ordered online! <3

My sister in-law posted pics on FB when she saw people lined up at Best Buy today. She though they were linked up for Black Friday already. I was like um no, PS4 comes out at midnight.

Lol exactly. Let me check mine. If I don't have it shipped I will pick a ps4 game I bought randomly and set it on fire.

Goodbye knack.

OMG, I'm dying.

After 12+ hours I am now "Shipping Now". I am only an hour away so should be fine for tomorrow even though it sat in preparing all day.

Hey, hopefully this will ease your mind some. I also had exceptions for my shipment after I changed it to will call pickup and here is what I found out.

Thank you for that.

Bay Area here.

Expecting later night overnight shipping. Not too scared. I don't think Amazon will make any large blunders here.
