Just wondering if there's any places still in the uk taking pre-orders for the xbox one for launch. I have a pre-order with shopto which is guaranteed before Christmas but ideally I'd like to have one at launch.

Alternatively, what would be the best place to try and queue up and get one?

Amazon seems to be offering day one delivery for the standard console with FIFA 14 for £450

Rayman Legends (Wii U) - £19.99 @ Ubistore

Think this is close to the cheapest the Wii U (best) version has got.

Site is impossible to link to, as I am from ireland, and it is brining me to the Irish store ALL THE TIME

Here (http://shop.ubi.com/), and search is the best I can do

Are we allowed to post links to imports? I know it's probably a silly question, but my gaf-rulebook instincts are tingling...

Apparently some Xbone games are region free so a US copy of Forza would work on my EU Xbone? Doesn't sound like the sort of thing that would actually work out...

Looking to buy an extra Xbone pad and another game. What are good day one options at the moment? Tempted to just see what they have in supermarkets on the day tbh.

Why shouldn't it? If the Xbone is region free in the sense that the PS3 was/is region free it should work. I have quite a few games from the US or Canada for my Euro PS3.

Vita version is also £19.99 although you can use the code 10thanks to knock another £2.00 off. (also works for the WiiU version) That code is only for new customers though according to HDUK.

Ok that's cool if it works. Just dunno why importing Xbone titles isn't more popular if they're only £38 each, delivered...

German GAF:

bücher.de is selling Wii Party U for 39€. I know it's not the cheapest price, but if you buy something else to reach 50€, you can use the voucher "TV10webmiles2013" to get 10€ off. Look around, maybe you find something interesting, a Nunchuck for example.

Just tried this and paid £0.01 for Wii Sports Club tennis and bowling download codes from GAME: http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/gam...ng-wii-sports-tennis-for-1p-unlimited-1711004

The glitch is working, though the deal has been marked expired. Not really expecting GAME to honour it, but only costs a penny to find out!

Edit - just got an email order confirmation, but like everyone else who's tried this no download code yet.

A misprice is one thing, but this is basically attempting to steal

Could not find a thread for this so asking here.

Have sony said how much digital PS4 games will cost in the UK? Battlefield 4 is £59.99 on PS3. So can we assume it will be that on PS4? I would love to go digital only this gen, but not as those prices.

You shouldn't assume any cheaper, that one thing for certain. And if anything I'd almost expect a premium for next gen games. Aren't some PS3 games even more expensive than that? Even still, £60 just to have it on your HDD isn't something to be hoping for either.

Honestly, unless you have to go all digital and money isn't an barrier, then I don't see the need to force going all digital. You can pick up games waaaay cheaper at retail and in sales and there's the re-sell value on top. Convenience is a great thing but saving yourself potentially £10+ a time is far better IMO.

Btw, word of warning, continental GAF, got forced to pay an extra VAT recently for The Last of Us ordered from Zavvi, because they shipped it to Germany from Guernsey. :p It was only 6 € in this case, but if you are considering ordering a PS4 from them, I would think twice.

And yea, still no update from Amazon.de about the Killzone bundle. This is getting ridiculous.

I agree. It's just a shame cos I love the convenience of not having to put a disc in to play.

It really depends on the game. I mean, say Far Cry 3 that you're going to play and then shelve forever, you might as well just buy it as a disk. Rock Band 3 that you're going to back to every now and then until your PlayStation dies, well, that's a better digital game and that convenience is worth a premium.

If I thought I was going to be playing a game for an entire generation, I'd have no qualms about paying ten quid more for it, that's almost nothing over five, six, seven years.

Hello again fellas. I'm looking for batteries for my PSPs, one fat and one slim. I only find chinese knock offs with bad reviews on the different amazon sites and other places. Does anyone knows where I can find original batteries or at least third party ones with a good quality? Thanks.

I guess it depends on the person? I don't tend to trade games in all that often, or even finish the main mode in a short time span. I tend to play games at my own pace and/or decide to finish them sometime down the line. I suppose this means I cheat myself out of some nice money but eh.

I mean a few years ago I would of scoffed at people telling me digital is the way. Though in 2013 I've brought about 6 digital download copies of games. 4 of them due to Nintendo promo's - 1 that was actually sensibly priced on Nintendo eShop (£24.99) and one because it was also cheaper than retail (Luigi U)

Going digital isn't a bad idea, but like everything else, you wait for the deals and promos, But yeah, if it's a game you'll play over a weekend and then shelve forever, then it makes more sense to buy and sell on later.

Play-Asia. Get the superior 2200mAh ones. (These are the regular ones.)

Completely forgot about PA. Damn they're even more expensive than I thought. Knowing PA it's gonna take weeks before I get this in the mail, I hoped to find something closer to home. I'll keep this as a plan B, thanks or the tip.

VGP also have them (1200 mAh regular ones) for £25.04. They seem to have them in stock and are fast in my experience.

Asda Direct seems to have day one stock of the PS4 available for £349. Not a deal per se, but every where else is sold out for launch day so people may want to jump on it if they missed out.

Edit: It's worth noting the page does say you need a special pre-order code, though apparently it doesn't actually ask for it. So they may get cancelled, but worth a shot.

Now they just need Xbox Stock!!

never played the game... might as well jump in now.
or should I wait for the bomba-bomba price?

Best price was 18pounds 3 days ago...

I guess I will wait until 15pounds or less. Hopefully that will happen. But I already played it on PS3. I can only say that it's totally worth 17pounds. Even more than that. It's a fantastic game.

I would even buy it now, but I don't own a Wii U yet, so I couldn't play it anyway.

Resident Evil 6 (PS3) - 10pounds

I can't see them charging less for PS4 versions than PS3 versions, so I think that's a reasonable assumption. Disc based version seems to be available for £47 at Amazon http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00BT9DTCM/

I noticed NFS Rivals on PS4 is £41.59 at the moment at WOW HD, which seems to be the cheapest at the moment.

Are they reliable? I've seen a few complaints about them in various places, is it worth dealing with them for the £8 savings?

Depends on how quickly you want it. They're fine, it's just it can be a a week or two before you get the game because sometimes they ship from Hong Kong.

Reliable - yes
But if you want to get it fast (and I mean fast as in zavvi delivery, which is still not really fast), then don't use them. My last orders took at least 2 weeks. Some took even more than a month. And it's also not customs safe. They ship from Hong Kong.

My last zavvi orders in comparison took 5/7 days
