Vita PSN Game & Service Thread | November 2013 | Tearaway into a new world

Thumbs up!

I can't wait for P5!

I have a nagging feeling that it's either that or another iteration of P3 for the Vita and the 3DS but there have been a lot of clues leading to P5 such as a website linked to P5 being reserved by Atlus. Crosses fingers.

I'll be seriously devastated if it's an Android or IOS game though. :(

As pointed out in the teaser countdown thread - Persona is one of these series, which is available on the PlayStation brand since it's first game. Highly unlikely they will suddenly go with an Android/iOS release. It's possible to add another platform, like the 360 and Catherine (developed by the same studio, who brought us P3 and 4).

I hope the great success P4G had on the Vita will mean, that we will see another Persona title on the platform. And it better be P5! :D

Edit: Top of the page once again. Here goes the usual Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden recommendations. Of course, check out on Muramasa Rebirth and Dragon's Crown as well. Great games, all of them!
Also, I would like to remind, that I still have two 30-day trial codes for EU PS+, if someone is interested - PM me.

What about some first party support (technically there is still some though, over my dead body, gr2 or freedom wars, but i'm kinda doubting one of them will come to the west, good thing for me since those japanese game are what i'm looking for anyway).
More advertising would be useful to, even if it's just advertisment for remote play which is also pretty lackluster imo.

SEGA at least had the decency to say it was over. Sony's still pretending that they're supporting Vita.

I think you're the one doing the pretending. Accept that the Vita is not what you wanted it to be and just move on man, it's getting sad reading your rants every single day.

Man, there was 5 copies of Tearaway at Wal-Mart earlier... really wanted to buy one, but I already have it pre-ordered from Amazon with the bonuses.

I guess I could have then returned the unopened copy from Amazon, but I don't like counting my chickens before they're hatched, and the DLC codes might be inside the package... might've been inside the Wal-Mart ones too, who knows?

They also had 4 of those gold Zelda 3DS's... really wanted to buy one, but ehhh the game is digital, and da fuq do I need another handheld for? I'm too heavily invested in Vita with too much to play still.

This seems mostly like Boyes responding to Kotaku's assertions in a quick little chat at a PS4 focused event. It's unclear how much it comes from them, and it's certainly not him sitting down with them to present some comprehensive overview over what's in store for the Vita - it's obviously missing pieces like what the third party productions team is doing, or the Vita TV.

At this point, first party support from Sony is almost over. Hope that we get at least some cool third party games from Japan and some good indies.

Sounds like the PS4 is going to make Sony a ton of money, hopefully some of that can get funneled back into Vita software. Making the Vita a more enticing proposition for people can only be good for Sony.

You probably wouldn't be able to buy it as a "Do Not Sell" message would appear on the cash register.

oh come on, calm down about that article, the guy obviously has things i mind for the Vita besides RP, and can you guys seriously say you arent looking forward to vita only games and indies this month and the next

bottom line is remote play, native Vita big games and indie games

  1. Remote Play
  2. Remote Play (?)
  3. Indies
Oh god... we're boned. Don't worry guys, we just have to keep buying games for it so that they can't kill it. Also, Vita TV... I swear to all that is holy if they don't announce and advertise the VTV starting at CES 2013... I'm going to punt something. Punt everything. If they really want to push Remote Play, bundle a VTV with every PS4. Make it the Kinect.

I'll be honest, I didn't pay $250 for a portable indie player.

Having indie games on the go is nice and all, but I want more stuff like Gravity Rush (games that can't really be played elsewhere), not ports that sometimes are available to about ten other platforms.

come on guys, we've got another year or two with the console in a stable state.

and if we don't...then i for one have gotten my moneys worth already in just a year....

well at least gravity rush 2 was teased...

Ah, but you did.

Honestly alot of us saw the writing on the wall awhile ago and accepted the fact our Vitas will be relegated to PS4 accessories/indie machines.

I got my moneys worth already so its all gravy to me but it seems somethings going wrong with my vita. God forbid if it breaks I may look into a shield instead of a replacement

Where are your Iota/Atoi avatars bros?

And I do wish if we are getting these indie ports that we get a few console ports too... I mean borderlands 2 is cool and whatever but how about we get a few classic like demon souls, Folklore, or maybe Dragon Dogma. :)

Right back at you.

You think I'd put one of those monstrosities in my avatar?
Kisuke does not approve.

And as far as your classics, you're dreaming. Especially with a Capcom title in the list. :lol

come on its not just remote play, from the article its like:
  1. Remote Play
  2. Exclusive Vita titles
  3. Indies
he believes RP will help sell the Vita and with that will come real Vita games that arent ports

Thoughts on a couple games:

Uncharted is kind of boring so far. I'm really early in but I'm not feeling it too much.

Hotline Miami is incredible. Brutal, fast, and fun.

P4G looks a lot more updated than I was expecting. The colors pop so beautifully.

This device is so nice. Dat screen.

The article is a little bit worrying but I really feel like the Vita is in it for the long haul and will have a lifespan right along with PS4 since they're closely tied. Some major PSP games like Peace Walker were released like 5 years into the console'a lifespan so Vita could have a lot on the horizon.

I believe the exact opposite. Remote Play will essentially reduce any AAA title coming to VITA since we can already play it on VITA through a PS4, theoretically.

I don't see any upcoming AC, COD or similarly big AAA western franchise coming to VITA. I do hope that Japanese support remains strong or decent enough.

Did we not add stuff about PS+ to the FAQ?

For crying out loud... ADD IT TO THE FAQ.

Alright I want some good Old School RPG recommendations. for some reason I feel like playing a good ol classic RPG now that've nearly platinumed Muramasa and nearly finished P3P.

How far into the platinum are you for Muramasa?

Cause of the gobbledegook?
They all speak that non-sense jive bs though. It's fucking Okami/Chibi Robo all over again. >_>

Aren't you that guy who likes Sine Mora with its stupid invented language in which the narrator talks slower than Stephen Hawking?

But yes, I also hate that pseudo voice acting. My avatar just doesn't talk, you only look at him ;)

Do games (like Tearaway) that don't come out on Tuesday, and thus with the store update, hit the store around midnight or is it likely to be some random time on Friday?
