Live countdown to major Persona team announcement from Atlus [Summary in OP]

A lot of train stations?
Persona 5 is about trains?
Or about how everyone lives their lives "on rails", never doing anything different?

Or maybe just stops for the hype train? CHOO CHOO.

On a train, especially in Japan, I think everyone is always off in their own world on their cellphone/tablet. Even though they're together, they're all separated.

GET EDOGAWA IN HERE ON THE DOUBLE! We need some analyzing.

Took a screenshot every second this time so it's reasonably clear.

In order:

1. JR Station Shinjuku
2. Sapporo Underground Station
3. Sendai Station
4. Osaka Namba Station
5. Fukuoka (Tenjin) Station
6. Nagoya Sakae Station

Dotonbori is three minutes away from Namba Station in Osaka. It's a city that never sleeps, basically, and a huge tourist attraction. It's also near Minami, which is another district, and the Japanese word for "south"

The JR East Station is one of the biggest stations in all of Tokyo, and is very big around Shinjuku. In Shinjuku, it is known as one of the busiest train stations in the world to some, even going as far as being recognized in the Guinness Book of World Records.

The Sakae Station is located in the Naka ward of Nagoya and in the city of Aichi, and is a fairly nice station. I couldn't find much info about it, though...

The Nishitetsu Fukuoka (Tenjin) station is another big station that is also home to a small shopping center of sorts.

The Sendai Station is known as the biggest station in Sendai, and is home to the Sendai Subway Namboku Line. It was affected in the 2011 Touhoku earthquake and tsunami. Not much more info I can find on it, sadly...

The Sapporo Chikagai, located near Odori, is home to an underground shopping center. I couldn't find much more information, but I did find that it is near some shopping centers such as Aurora City and Pole Town.

Now, to those who also speak Japanese, do you get it yet?

I see. Maybe this is just pointing toward the eventual reveal of Persona 5. I don't think they are releasing some sort of HD collection. Although I'd certainly buy it. As long as P3HD has all of P3P's additional content without the visual novel gameplay.

p-atlus.jp got updated a bit. Looks like the fields got moved around, trying to mess around on it now.

New Coming Soon button lumped with all the traditional Persona games on the site, not down with all the slot/mobile/other nonsense.

getting the feeling this is a mobile social p4 spinoff game.

Not mobile or social, apparently:

Why do I have a feeling that this is going to be some kind of attraction, available in Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, Fukuoka, Sendai, and Sapporo where you simulate the Midnight Channel? I just have a feeling. The locations aren't for P4U2 since it releases on the 28th of this month, so they have no need to announce it.

I just have this weird feeling, I don't know. I think it's Persona 5, though, because of the domain that was registered and everything else that we found out about the domain.

We'll find out soon enough, then.

EDIT: This is most definitely for a game. Ads for the stream (the current one) have a CERO rating, which is currently the CERO Pending Rating icon. This is definitely not a mobile game, then.

Atlus is really pushing this stream, even putting the live stream on a bottom tab of niconico's TOP page, like the description stated.

God I hope it isnt just a new persona themed train for the shown stations, with games inside or something along those lines. >_>

Screencap as to what you're referring to? I don't see anything.

Does that make any sense?

Yeah, lets do a 3 day run-up, announcement and post show and NOT announce a new Persona game.

That's not a very likely scenario now, is it? :D

Maybe this time story is bigger and trying to imply they gonna do something to those "train" that sent the fool arcana protag to their adventure in last two game

#Speculahoy

We've already ruled this out. There's a CERO pending rating.

well, there is hope then. Doesn't make sense to me that this would be p5. You don't promote a sequel by using old assets/music(unless it's a continuous story). Maybe it is though, but for the time being I have very low expectations.

I don't see anything new. Are you talking about the site skins you can select from? That's just a placeholder which says they'll be adding more skins in the future.

Yesterday the other site buttons were on the left, and the twitter was on the right. Switched around and I circled the coming soon button.

Ignore the picture of Yosuke on it, that's just part of the P4U2 skin on the site.

Huh? My site doesn't look anything like that! :o

So nothing else has been shown on these events other than P3 & P4? Yeah, whatever the game is or games, one of them has to be related to them in some fashion. As I said before I'm going with an HD collection PS3/360.

Oh wow, and you're sure that the "Coming Soon" logo wasn't there before? I just dragged the games section to the center myself and I see it (although with Izanagi because of the P4G skin).

Before there was a coming soon logo in the skins section only, it's still there also.

Yeah, that's been there for so long (which is why I was wondering if it was the same for the games section one as well).

Since this one's probably recent well, that's all the more confirmation that this is gonna be something good. It's next to "Persona" and not aligned with P3 or P4, though that probably doesn't mean anything just yet.

Going to double post since my post is basically buried. Here's a hint

The answer is These are directions. North and south is Namboku in Japanese. North alone is Kita, and south alone is Minami. Combined is Namboku, which means north and south, Naka is middle, Chikagai is underground. Nishi is west. JR East is well, east. Dotonbori is near Minami, which means south. Chuo-ku, where Odori is, also means "center" Seeing something here?

Now, let's push this theory up to eleven. Shinjuku is the only place that is a ward within itself. Shinjuku is divided into 6 wards, each in different directions. What are the directions of these wards? North, south, east, west, with Shinjuku being the one in the center/middle. Shinjuku also has an underground district, I believe.

P4Arena, also.

Which could mean Persona 5 is in the same universe as those. Or maybe it's just filler content for the fans :P

Well, they said years ago that they kind of want to shake up the formula a bit. The MC of each of the modern persona games have always been a transfer student that moves to a new town and sits there for a whole year. What if Persona 5 features a transfer student that for whatever reason has to get shuffled around to all of these different cities over a year or two? Could also shake up a Slink system as well if you have enough in each city.

They like having the idea of these links existing no matter the distance between people. Well, what better way to hammer that home?
