If I'm not mistaken,
the events of the original Persona still happened in the EP verse.
Not only do they happen, but the events of Persona 3 reference events from the original Persona. In more ways than one.
From what I can gather,
the ending of Innocent Sin recreated the universe, but in this new universe the events of Persona 1 still took place. Basically the only difference (As far as I remember) was that the events of Eternal Punishment happened instead of the events of Innocent Sin.

The P1 cast are all seen in P2EP anyhow, further confirming P1 happens in the revised timeline.

Generally safe if you've beaten P3 and played P1-P2 for a decently good length of time. In the case of the P1 spoilers, just having played the game should be... sufficient, although there is a P1 ending spoiler among them. (People, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong - just going off what I remember from having played those games a loooong time ago).
I still recall when someone mentioned that they'd like to see P5 take place in an office-cubicle setting - which I am still 100% behind. I think it would be nice to step away from the high school setting for something that still has the same structured feeling (e.g. instead of class, you go to daily company meetings; you have performance reviews; instead of exams you devote time to completing reports/presentations/products, etc.) - but it might hit too close to home for those of us using Persona as an escape!
Lastly - PLEASE LET GREEN BE THE DOMINANT COLOR THEME FOR P5!
(Been pining for that one since Golden.)

I think limiting yourself to one color is kind of dumb.
My vote goes to A Lone Prayer, Persona 1's main battle theme. I thought Persona 3 and 4 had god tier soundtracks until I heard this. Then they fell a notch.
So I randomly just had a craving for a particular song. Not sure if it is my favorite, but it came to mind with all this hype.

i was well-aware, i just don't see why it matters. they've attached a color to it now with the remake, because it's something the fans have come to expect of the series.
the menus in p3 and p4 looked real nice, tho
I'm just hoping for something ambitious, regardless of which platform its on. The way Hashino's talked and the grandiose nature of this announcement have my expectations high in that regard (and that regard only.)

This would be another fave. So superior to the male MC map theme.

That's not what a motif is at all.
Screens seem to suggest no, but that's all I can speak from. If anything it's a weird blue.
