Yeah, I know. It's really too bad. Oh well, I still have SMT. It's just a shame. The characters in P2 EP are just so out of left field. A cop, a fashion designer, a tabloid reporter, and a black market dealer get together to stop a serial killer that remembers a timeline that never existed.

P4 sadly never came close to that. It's just a bunch of anime tropes in a high school finding out why their Senpai died. snooooore.

I just hope the setting of P5 is in some way inspired. Not just anime 101 yet again.

Too light hearted, too anime. Not enough of the dark, horror-themed story telling and interesting, unique characters that made P2 so engaging.

I'm kinda split on the idea. I don't want to see anything more extreme then what they did for Persona 2 tho. The nods, overarching story elements, and loose continuity have always been a part of the series, At the same time, I think P5 is going to stand alone.

I think such things would stay. At least that's what I got from Hashino's "want to try new things while at the same time maintaining what the series is known for."

P4 was an accurate representation on my real life, wherein I abandoned all of my friends to study for finals.

I think the knowledge stat was the first thing I maxed in that game.

I'm not against the whole concept of social links, but they need to tone them down. It took up SO MUCH TIME in P4, and limited what you were able to do at any time.

I prefer it being more anime like but I couldn't stand the light heartedness of 4. Plus the crappy characters, minus Rise and Teddie. I think something more akin to 3 which is dark but not overly dark and still keeping the anime feel.

lol no way. If it's 6am EST I will have to see it when I wake up. Not gonna stay up that long just to possibly be disappointed that it's not Persona 5.

I personally hope it's not on a handheld. I would just really like to see the Persona art style come to life on the consoles.

For some reason, yes.

4 isn't overly-light hearted and 2 isn't ridiculously dark. They're all sort of goofy and incredibly well-written. That's what matters.

Persona 4 style teasers could give that impression I suppose.

The ending of P4A leaves a lot to be desired. There's a big threat and the characters from the games are aware of each other now. They are continuing that storyline in P4U though, so who knows what they're up to?


At this point I'd prefer some sort of college setting or a big mashup of the previous titles to conclude that whole affair. But I'm sure I'll like another high school game if that's how they choose to go.
