If you enjoyed the beta, you will enjoy the game.

Very replayable and the I game clock is broken. I'd say it took about 10 or so hours for the first play through. Killzone Mercenary and Tearaway have been fantastic games, all around, regardless of vita...so....

I just finished Tearaway and I have to say the letter was pretty good an emotive, I really liked
how it explains Atoi's feelings during the game. You really don't know what she thinks while you play.

It wasn't P4G ending level of emotive, but quite good.

Still, I think the game is long enough. I was afraid after
the cavern
but there were like 3 or 4 places more left. I feel like getting the platinum and I think I'll buy it digitally if there is a sub-10€ sale. It's one of those game that I'd like to have always in me memory card.

Media Molecule has done an amazing job with this game. Tearaway >>>>>>> LBP IMO. Before anyone tells me "what about the crafting tools?". I'm not into that stuff :)

Hello VitaGAF! First post on GAF and what better place to do it than here?
My Vita is my most used gaming device by far, and these threads are always the first I check when I visit this site.
I like the sense of community in this thread and have discovered quite a few games I might not have otherwise tried or known about. You guys really sold me on Tearaway (and what a lovely game it is!) and I learned a lot of things about Soul Sacrifice that helped me be better at it and thus enjoy it more.
I can't wait to pick up my Vita's companion device on Friday when it finally comes out in Europe.

So yeah, hi! Buy Tearaway!
 
Bought tearaway didn't even know it was on sale from best buy looked at my receipt lownand behold $30 niiice. New vita owner got a good sale deal and am so not regretting it. Awesome handheld!! If it takes me to buy every game I can so it doesn't go away I just might. What's a good download game for like $10-$15 on psn?

Dance games are really not my kind of thing at all, on the other hand I do love the music from Persona

Is the other gal in the trailer supposed to be the idol Rise mentions in P4?

Yes, Gakai is coming to Vita, just not at the launch of the service. Europe has to wait longer for it anyway.
 
Hey guys and gals, I will be getting a Vita soon, I was wondering if the 64gb memory cards from Play Asia work fine on an Australian Vita? They are $118 ATM which is still expensive but it would be great to have a stack of games on the card at all times. I assume it will work just want to be sure. Will get all the ps+ games! Persona 4 and Mlb The Show for certain, what else do i need? Thanks in advance.

Memory Cards are usable on all models.

Tearaway, Killzone: Mercenaries, Ys: Celceta(when it comes out), and Little Big Planet off the top of my head. The rest you can get on PS+.

Thanks for the heads up, I updated with some more deals. These are pretty good deals for retail prices.

And I've put tons of hours into Lumines ES, I play it while I'm on the excercise bike and I always get 10 miles plus excercise to get a high score.

Thank you for the confirmation and suggestions, Killzone is in a bundle ATM and I was quite curious to give it a go. Forgot about LBP I assume that would be a perfect title for Vita.
 
Has anyone here played the vita version of Lego Marvel Superheroes? Its tomorrow discounted on Amazon germany and it would be great if i could hear some impressions from my VitaBros ;)
 
got a vita from best buy today. $170 + tax and it game with an 8gb memory card. really can't go wrong with that there.

already have persona 4 golden and tearaway. will pick up ys on tuesday. looking forward to danganronpa and i need to catch up with trails in the sky since the second one is out soon.

FUN TIMES AHEAD!!

Well if you are a marvel fan then, go for it. Wouldn't hurt to try it out if you can get it for cheap

I personally enjoyed the lego batman game on the Vita.
 
Anyone have a problem with PS+ auto-charge? I have it turned off in PSN Store settings.

This is the second time it updated automatically when I had it turned off. At first I thought it was just because I opened a PS+ game so it tried to connect to the net and update plus, but this time it just updated by itself. -__-

For now, I tried put it at on, then off again and see if that works (lol 1 month wait).

(b4 someone tells me to get a year = I just don't want PS+ since I don't have much time in the coming months for the Free Play games. I have enough non-PS+ games to play for quite a long while.)
 
Persona 4 Golden, is it worth buying? I'm new to the Vita and I haven't purchased my first game yet. I'm looking for a good RPG, and I hear that is good.
Is there a better RPG than P4G? if not, then I'm going to go ahead and purchase P4G.
Also if I should get P4G, is there any deals going on where I could get it cheaper than the current price it's on psn for $29.99?

Hell no. Go and buy it. P4G is not good, it's awesome. You can't go wrong buying it if you like the genre.

Thanks! I actually bought it a couple of months ago but I still haven't started. I own all the Persona games on the EU store but haven't decided which one to start with so I keep postponing.

Extra weird is the fact they don't seem to have to change anything about the app either. I tried the US version of the app and it works with my EU netflix account including subtitles in my language.

I have it and I kinda like it. It's nothing like the console version though. You play really short missions with various objectives. You can usually complete a level within a minute. There's a lot of different objectives though, so you'll spend more time than that. Lots of unlockable characters. I like the humor. Can be played completely with touch or with the buttons. I probably wouldn't recommend it at 40 $/€ if I'm honest, unless you're a huge Marvel fan, but worth picking up in a sale down the line.
 
Anybody's VITA PSN downloading really slow today? Mine always downloads at my internet's top speed but today it is going at dial up levels...trying to grab that Tearaway demo but way too slow.

Imo really high, they already made persona 4 golden, now there's the dance game with almost catherine graphics(the kind of graphics i expect from persona 5) so i'm positive we don't have to wait too much.

I'm more concerned about persona q, it could sign the beginning of the shifting of persona to the 3ds.

Dunno bout you, but I'm hyped for Persona Q.

and don't worry, future mainline Persona games are not leaving PS platforms because of some chibi dungeon crawler

I think Atlus has found a way to balance it out

SMT = Nintendo
SMT spinoffs = Nintendo/Sony
Persona spinoffs = Nintendo/Sony
Persona remakes = Sony and possibly Nintendo down the road
Mainline Persona incld Arena = Sony.
 
I splurged a little bit with this last paycheck and did something I've been wanting to do for awhile now; I picked up a second Vita (a white one) exclusively for my Japanese account.

I've got Shin Gundam Musou pre-ordered and I've already got a copy of Mobile Suit Gundam SEED: Battle Destiny on the way from Play-Asia. To round out the Gundam collection, I may pick up a copy of Gundam: Breaker at some point in the future.

I'm also eyeing Tales of Hearts R when the budget will allow for it, although I will definitely need a guide for that one.

What other Japanese only Vita games would be recommended? Any good PSN only stuff on the Japanese PSN?

Edit- Oh wow, how could I forget about PSO2? That will be my first J-PSN download as soon as I get my bigger memory card this week!

Which tend to be upscaled, prettier (but still kinda ugly) versions from the DS. Seriously- Lego Marvel had a DS release as well. Drop the DS support, and actually put effort into the Vita and 3DS games. Vita and 3DS can do better. The first three PSP Lego games (Batman, Indiana Jones, Star Wars- why isn't this on PSN BTW? I want it on mah Vita) are more impressive than every single portable Lego game that has followed. And those games came out like four years ago.

Pisses me off too, because I will pretty much only play Lego games portably (Lego City on Wii U is an exception to that though- will get it when I have a Wii U). Theu're just not as fun to play on home consoles, and co-op works better on handhelds.
 
Ok, jerkbags, now that Amazon has Tearaway for $30, I caved and grabbed a physical copy.

This had better not be a case where the game fails to live up to the hype.
