Anyone got that Currys thing to work? No luck here :(
[edit] Looks like it's expired. I want more next gen games to play but I don't really want to play any of the games on offer so I'd like to pay not very much for them :/

What games do you have at the moment?

I ordered COD on it, £35, hopefully they send it, will get it on Tesco instead if they don't for £40.

That was probably a 10% code that wasn't supposed to work on pre-orders.

I just emailed them because the actual ALBW page says it's in stock but my order still says Link to the Past 2 without the artwork and "Awaiting Stock Pick" ...their database is obviously a mess.
 
I'm sorry to ask this here, but since there are so many in this thread I hope to get an answer. If I preorder from Amazon.co.uk, they won't charge my card until they ship, right? Is there a way for me to pay the preorder directly when I place it?
Sometimes I just like having games I want payed off, since I would probably spend that money on other stuff. So I'd rather pay off, my preorders.

Maybe if you use gift certificates? You pay for those, then gift them to yourself and buy your preorders with them? Not sure if that works though.

Yes that works. Pre-order the item, buy some vouchers (by email to your email address) for the equivalent amount, go to the order, and there is a box in the bottom to let you apply the voucher to the specific order. I did that with my PS4.

I might be traveling to Amsterdam again soon, what are the chances of snatching a ps4 at lunch (on Friday) or few days later at some store in NL, Germany or Austria?

Not sure if it will be sold out everywhere..

Netherlands gets EXTREMELY low volumes of consoles at launch and all is sold out through pre-orders.
So 99% sure you out of luck for Netherlands ps4.
 
Is there a need for a Black Friday topic?

As far as I am concerned there is not really anything great on show, and the UK companies are now using it as one big marketing exercise rather than presenting us with great deals.

To tell the truth, there were likely better deals all year than there will be in this - especially on Amazon.

If the "Nintendo 3DS XL White with Mario Kart 7" turns out to be a decent price, maybe I will get my Black Friday spirit back!
 
I am cheering up thanks to Fringe. Although the countdown thing on Amazon is still an cheap psychological tricks to push/panic people into buying - which I am against
 
Bought The Walking Dead set myself, but I'm quite pissed they took down the Mad Men boxset minutes before it was meant to go live. Oh, and it seems like they'll have a PlayStation 3 today.

I want to buy the Dishnoured DLC using some of my points balance, but the Xbox marketplace seems to only let me use my PayPal account... is there anyway of changing that please?

If a Black Friday deal expires before all the stock is sold, is it likely to come back later in the week? Quite like the look of that Philips airplay speaker for £69 - cheapest I've seen an airplay speaker

I got burned by this recently, if I remember correctly then you can only use existing balance when buying via the console itself.

Based on the last few years, everything (unless the really big deals, like VERY cheap consoles) will come back multiple times.
