PS4 official European waiting thread - come here and wait with us!

Excitement levels are through the roof! Just been in to game and paid for it all and the guy said he would go upstairs and pack my order up ready for Friday! They have them there and I cant get it yet!
 
I'm trying to find out what courier Amazon used for Northern Ireland Xbox One orders last week, but I can't seem to find out. Anyone have any idea?

Past orders dictate that CityLink will ignore any guaranteed delivery date and show up a day late if you're not in Belfast. They'll load it onto the van for delivery in the morning, then just leave it there until the next day.

Most recent example is this, which was ordered from Amazon and arrived today:

I really, really hope they don't use CityLink. Because this happens every single time, and they don't deliver weekends!

There's only one huge problem: there's a 2 hour-window on Friday when I, and others, are not at home. Those two hours... if I miss them... I'll have to wait another 24 hours!

O my god I just got an email that my PS4 is ready for shipment and will be delivered on Friday between 8am and 8pm.

It's happening. It's really happening.

Nope, I'm gone for at least 5 hours and I managed to make sure someone is home for at least those first two-three hours, but the remaining two... nope, impossible.

I'm just hoping for the best... and else I'll be really, really sad. :P

I got there at 11.20pm and the queue was already out the door, I'm going to get there a bit earlier for PS4, maybe 11.

Same for me, I got FIFA14 for £35 and I just ordered AC4 for £43 from Flubit.
I'm sure FIFA14 was in stock when I ordered it though. Currys have taken the payment anyway.

shit, I have a phase 2 preorder as well! (my local GAME recommended to put in a 'fake' preorder so I got a trade-in bonus on a bunch of games)
 
So... help me out, I'm buying two of these three games - but I'm still not sure which ones!

- Need For Speed: Rivals (real surprise, because I didn't pay any attention to it until reviews came out)
- Battlefield 4
- Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag (I never really played AC. I got AC3 for free through PS+, but I didn't enjoy it... that said, this pirate theme, it looks really interesting)

I'm still in doubt. For a while, I thought about BF4 and NFS: Rivals... but now I'm like "maybe BF4 and AC4... or even AC4 and NFS:R".

For reference, I'm already getting these:

- Killzone: Shadow Fall (thanks the "Player Edition" bundle)
- FIFA 14
- Resogun (PS+)
- Contrast (PS+)
- F2P games (such as Warframe)

I'd go for Assassins Creed and Need For Speed as you already have a shooter with Killzone.
 
Still 'processing' with Shopto, still 2 more days of work to go!

I think im loosing the will to live right about now :P

I just have to remind myself that its close now, so very close and that my wife also bought me Assassins Creed 4 which i wasnt planning on so i shall have that to play on top of Resogun and Contrast (if she doesnt hold AC4 back for Christmas that is).

Yeah, I was thinking the same: as much variety as possible, so there will always be something to play (shooter, racing, sports/soccer, adventure/stealth).
Than I start thinking about those glorious 64-multiplayer battles I'll be missing out on.

It's really hard to make a choice, right now.
 
I wish ShopTo would have processed orders chronologically, instead of whatever the hell method they're using. Mostly just to assuage my paranoia, but also because that seems fairest. Yes, I realise asking a business to attend to the concept of fairness is probably a losing battle.
 
FYI: anybody that used that currys code over the weekend, my AC4(£27) has been dispatched today, have the tracking number and co.

can't belive they are actually honouring them. :D
 
Oh my. I got a tip for a place that had more consoles. Ordered, and then there was a problem with freight alternatives. Took a long time (about 15 minutes), and I re checked and I still had it in my ordered items, and the freight alternatives where back. So I went through, and then contacted their chat.

It seems I am getting a console delivered on Friday. All the itshappening.gifs in the world can't stop this train.
 
canceled my amazon order a couple weeks ago because I thought I need the money for something else, turned out to be not the case.

Now there's no pre-order to be found if I want the console this year, tried calling every store here but not a single one is getting more units than they have pre-orders

well, have fun everyone who gets it in time! :)

Sigh, I wasn't bothered about PS4 at all and was considering selling mine a month ago

Now... 3 days might as well be 3 years. Will be made worse when my copy of AC4 shows up from Amazon tomorrow.
