I once made an off-hand comment about where a certain publisher should look to making their games on some platforms (I mentioned PC/Steam) and got a temp ban for it. Mods crack down on any form of port begging.
Being subtle about it won't help, either... Just don't do it is my recommendation.

I've made numerous port begging in here. The trick is to admit that you're port begging. Saying sorry also helps since it really is bad.

@jon bones- My guess is that they're either part of an update or they are already part of the main game, but were held out in order to expand the game's play time

As they came out, the game got patched to include them. The DLC is just an unlock key.

The Digital PSN ver. will be up whenever Grace Chen feels like it.
The DLC was been added through updates.
Isn't the beta for DoS over? Anyway, if I remember correctly other players can't see birthdates

Good thing the release date for Ys in europe is "early 2014", may have been tempted to impulse buy. Will put it towards rayman legends since we got the patch. Flower at the end of the month too. Terraria and Stick it to the man not long after hopefully. Waiting for tomorrow to buy anything though, on the odd chance the EU gets an actually decent vita sale.
Btw apparently Castlestorm DLC is coming today/tomorrow too, will be grabbing that.

I fully support NeoGAF's zero tolerance stance on port begging.
If you want to see what happens when port begging is left unchecked, check the comments on any console game (ie. not on PC) review on Ars Technica. Shit escalates FAST.

Unrelated, what's the story behind the Vita 2000? Is it coming to the US (or is it already here)? And maybe the more important question - is it worth upgrading to the newer model when/if it's made available?
My VITA died today... Will get a replacement in 3-4 weeks. Too bad i wanted to have it friday to test remote play. It's a pain.
Sony said it's an overheating issue (impossible to get it on, orange light for one second, and not blinking, when connected to ac adapter). Already send to Sony. Hopefully it will be back before xmas.

I wouldn't call that port begging. It was an observation about Rockstar's strategy in a thread about the lastest port they made, IMO. Just because someone mentions another platform in a thread about a particular version of the game doesn't make it "port begging".
The moderation around here always runs hot and cold anyway. I got banned for expression my opinion once and I didn't even say it offensively. Meanwhile another, who I shall not name, was expressing opinions with hyperbole in a way that could be offensive to others and he didn't even get a slap on the wrist, even after he got belligerent with me for merely pointing out that things could be offensive. Another friend of mine was banned for more than a week for a "necro bump" of a thread. If "necro bumping" is discouraged that much around here, I'm sure someone could write a script to lock a thread after <x> days passed without a post. But they'd rather make their own rules and then give posters the rope to hang themselves with.
I don't see the harm, but I'm not a moderator. Just make sure it's not "port begging" and you should be good. Should be easy, right? Since port begging shouldn't really be possible in a general thread about Vita.
Not cheap enough for me. I own them all on Steam, I'll play them there most likely (with the likely exception of Ys I & II which was my secret Santa gift last year).
Isn't Soul Sacrifice supposed to be PS+? Why doesn't it show up? When will it be free?

There is no story behind the Vita 2000. Just like the 64gb memory card and VitaTV, Sony has announced NO PLANS to bring it to the west. You must've not been active in the thread back when everyone imported theirs and gave impressions. Everything is supposedly fantastic, with the exception of the screen.
A short walk over to amazon.com and a search for Vita 2000 yields this:

Which, as you can see if you click it, is just filled with people who are importing them and then selling them through Amazon. Amazon doesn't even have a pre-order for the model. Same with the 64gb/VitaTV to my knowledge.

yeah thought it was kinda a great deal just for the 32gb mem card, the case is a bonus (I'd personally never spend $50 on a case)
IIRC it's being ported by the guys who ported Divekick.
Kinda worried since Unreal Engine 3 games always looks horrible on Vita, and this is going to be an open world FPS with a lot more going on then Injustice and Mortal Kombat.
^UE on vita?? Fucccckkkkk borderlands 2 is a write off - although they were all 60fps games... maybe this will be decent at 30...and they actually improve the engine? ... yeah...

It only has to run at a locked 30fps to be playable though, so that should free up the port to use higher quality textures, hopefully. But by the time they release it, and without all the DLC most likely, everyone really will have played it by then. I mean, there's already a GOTY edition with all DLC out now, so if people were waiting to get it, I'm sure they'll have it before the new year.
I doubt the number of Vita owners who will want a scaled down port with none of the DLC for $40 is very high. You'd have to think playing Borderlands 2 itself was the best thing on the planet, most likely. It seems like they wasted too much time doing this and they should have funneled their money backing a port of something elsewhere.
No sales have been announced, at least in detail.
If they put the $30 PS+ deal online, I'd probably buy another year or two, even though the free games part of the service hasn't really done it for me lately.

I liked both DLC offerings, even though the first was just 3 costumes and a couple trophies. I thought the costumes were amusing and if you go for the trophies, there's a rather difficult one (if you do it honestly) involving one of the challenges in the caves.
The second adds a bunch of interesting challenges and 3 costumes plus trophies. I thought the challenges were fun and well done. The costumes are really cool too. I love the suit of the Devil... it's my favorite look for Juan.

Yeah, I've owned a Vita since launch, but I lost track of the threads when mods squashed the original Vita Thread, ha. I still visit them, but as I've fully transitioned all of my gaming from consoles (except WiiU) to portable, I've been paying a bit more attention.
The OLED is my favorite thing about the system, so the change to LCD is a bit of a bummer. I'll do some searching to try and find everyone's impressions on imports to see if it's worth my time and money. My biggest gripe with the current model is the shoulder buttons - they just don't feel "right".
Seriously though, rockstar please show some vita lovea new manhunt or the warriors for me
I would buy the crap out of a portable manhunt.
Even an android version.
