Essentially, someone on the Amazon board claims to have spoken with customer support who stated that no PS4s will be shipped today. They will all be shipped tomorrow, even for customers who don't have prime.

You should take that statement with a grain of salt, though. There are a lot of trolls on that board, so you never know which info to trust. If you can, just wait until you get an official confirmation from Amazon.

Support spoken. bad news! Today is no Playsi sent out regardless of whether standart, Austria or premium purchaser! it is started tomorrow with the delivery, the lady could call no shipping company, so that's lottery. Definitely not shipping the console today!

So I put my prepayment down at GAME last night: I'm 11th in line.

Some odd things though. Somehow, I was able to get the console, two controllers, the camera, Killzone Shadowfall, Battlefield 4 and two years insurance for the hardware all for a little over £450. I was not expecting that.

Another thing, I checked my bank statement, it looks like on £170 left my account...the guy at the till said "that'll be £450" and I put my card in. I noticed it asked me to remove my card way faster than a normal chip and pin device would, but he said the transaction went through...

The guy was flustered and seemed fairly new to the process, he asked his manager for help a couple of times with things like Battlefield 4, but has he made a mistake here and I've got incredibly lucky?

My online bank statement just caught up with me. It looks like a payed the full price after all.

Oh well, I can still say I got the goods fairly cheap.

yeha you are right. Well iam freaking out already, better leave for work now instead of going insane.

Oh and amazon changed the status of my preorder from "preordered" to "not shipped yet"

Yeah I'm thinking of getting BF4... Anyone know if theres any benefit to having a new copy of BF4?
Thinking of either trading in games to get BF4 pre owned or another plan may be to get BF4 PS3 pre owned and trade it in at game to get BF4 PS4 for £10? Is that physical PS4 version though?

Still waiting on my currys AC:IV order, its annoying me, ha ha. It says awaiting stock, but the website has said theres been stock for like 2 days now, sent them an e-mail requesting an update on it, really hope I can get it for the price, they've took the money anyway.

Ohh nice. Is this Day One Special Content the OWL skin and some multiplayer spotlight thing? I read about those two somewhere, but thought that may have been a pre-order bonus for a specific retail or something (Curse specific retail pre order bonuses forever!)

IIRC, when I asked on the day of the BF4 launch, they said yes, it's a physical copy. I just hope they've honoured their offer as I can't find it anywhere on the site anymore! :(
 
I feel like I have managed to control my hype up until now...

I checked my order on Amazon and it's still stating the 29th November which is good.

I find the fact I have 2 PS4 games already in my hands has made the wait even worse for me.
 
Many people grabbing a PS4 with no games? I just can't bring myself to pay the launch retail prices of any of the games out tbh so just sticking with whatever PS+ serves up for now.

Playstation live tab is gonna be massive with the Ustream and twitch apps... Playstation themselves where live streaming yesterday on camera with co-op .. had thousands of views and some can be interactive (you also can chat on screen and they reply, vocally or typing)

This system has so much growth potential too.

Im going down today with a few mates to pay of some GAME ps4's etc.. so still going to be involved in the launch. Cant wait to sample the atmosphere.

I really wish I knew stock levels so I could ascertain a good time to get to a supermarket! I'm thinking no later than 8pm, but if they only have a small handful going spare, that might be too late.
 
Apart from the day one stock Asda are selling, is there any other way to get one of these in the UK if you don't have a pre-order? Any limited stock retailers Gaf has sniffed out?

Try Argos, Currys/PC World, the other supermarkets. One of them must have day-one stock somewhere, right? :)
 
Looks like my copy of AC4 still hasn't arrived, despite being sent 2 days ago by Amazon Prime one-day delivery. Glad they shipped this early as I wouldn't be too pleased at having no games to play on Friday.

Prime is basically a scam these days for smaller items, as they just send them first class anyway, which isn't a one-day service, especially this time of year.

Try camping out John Lewis' website on Thursday night? They don't do pre-orders so it'll only be orderable from midnight, same as the Xbox One

Yep, this is exactly what I'm doing, getting it sent to the nearest store to me which is a Waitrose.

Unfortunately it won't be for launch (Saturday pickup I imagine). Also it is going to be a free for all for the site's servers when midnight hits.
