Seeing as my GAME pre-order fell through (my PS4 isn't in the first batch) I'll be getting up in about 5 hours to be ready to stand in line at 4:30 am at a local shop to secure my launch PS4. It opens at 10, and I have to be at work at 8.. That would have been a problem if my girlfriend didn't say she'd take over my place in line at 7:30.

To install it, turn off your PS4 completely (no lights), insert the USB-stick and reboot while holding the power button until it reboots into Safe Mode.
Choose the option "Initialize PS4 (Reinstall System Software)"

Sony just called me to tell me that my Day-One Pre Order at the Sony Center Berlin will be cancelled due to the high demand of the launch event today.

They called me three times this week to confirm that it will be ready for pick up this friday

They will call me as soon as they receive the next batch and they offer me free shipping as compensation.

Wow that is really shitty. I hope Sony give you some free stuff to make up for breaking their 'contract' with you over the pre-order. I'm not sure I'd be able to keep my shit together if that happened to me.

They said that the email said that Sony hadn't provided them with as many PS4s as initially agreed. They were not sure when they'd get the rest of their allocation in, but were hoping to update them next week. My mate is going apeshit.

Had a bit of a fright earlier, Amazon gave an estimate of a December 2nd delivery on dispatch, but thankfully, UPC are planning on delivering it tomorrow. Just arrived at the East Midlands Airport for its final voyage to Dublin

it's also not the standard edition. It seems to be a special edition with additional DLC possibly for the launch. the special edition has additional red band on the cover with some text towards the top.

I'm not sure what additional stuff you get but its a nice bonus regardless... will find out in about 2 hrs time

Yeah, Amazon still hasn't taken funds from my account. Pre-ordered in September, received email a few weeks later saying I'd been upgraded to launch day delivery but then Amazon accidentally 'cancelled' my order earlier this week.

Still nothing and the item is listed as 'preparing for dispatch' as of yesterday. Spoke to sever CS reps and all have guaranteed that it will be sent tonight and arrive tomorrow but I'm not hopeful...
