Amazon Logistics so I have hope.

I ordered some headphones yesterday at 19:20 from a train on my phone and they arrived today at 12 from Amazon Logistics. Fingers Crossed.

Incidentally, man from Game on the Live Stream said they had 4x the pre orders for the PS4 over the PS3.

Are Sony doing anything particular in the UK? You'd think they'd have a big launch thing planned like Germany or Italy, but it just looks like they're selling some extra PS4s and not much else
 
Friend has had update from Amazon.uk...

They fucked his order up big time. They missed the shipping deadline for tomorrow, they've dispatched it now, but it won't arrive till Monday. That's even worse!

He should contact support and cause a fuss, they are usually good about giving gift certificates etc

How is that even possible. Surely PS4 launch is the highest priority of their company right now. Nothing is bigger. How do you fuck up a thing like that.
 
Dpd have my parcel and are taking it to the shoreham by sea depot, that depot isn't even on their website. It's only a 10 minute drive from my house though, hopefully I will have it early. Anyone know what time they start their deliveries

- Packaging is gorgeous (lol).
- New controller is a vast improvement.
- Console itself is very sexy. Though buttons on it (reset/eject) are a bit hard to see.
- It's about the same size as my PS3 slim but much sexier looking.
- Controller and console are solidly built. All connections and components have tight fittings. No wiggle any where.
- Swapping to a new HDD (SSHD) was unbelievably easy.
- Installing new FW and Shadow Fall was lightning quick.
- UI is also very, very quick. Everything looks and feels more polished and slick.
- Chat keyboard is moveable and easier to use. Though the white glow on black can be heavy on the eyes.
- Seeing my real name and my Facebook profile photo is weird, but feels more mature.
- New messaging is very iPhone/Android like, in-fact the whole UI is in it's speed.
- All controller buttons feel great except Option and Share are a tad too snug (hopefully loosen up).
- Analogue sticks feel good and the material is really grippy.
- Games boot so quick you can almost miss it (if you glance at GAF etc).
 
Well, my younger brother had no luck at Asdas. Only 15 consoles, and all the tickets had already been handed out.

Time to wait on the Argos website until 12am to try and grab a PS4 for him. I think he's going to see if the Tesco has any left.

They seem highly regarded on these forums, but I've read elsewhere that sometimes they don't finishing delivering until 8pm.

Imagine being that guy who gets his PS4 tomorrow at 8pm. Pacing back and forth. Frantic.

Yeah, he's talking to customer service now. They offered him a £10 voucher. That didn't improve the situation one bit. haha.
 
Totally OT, but any time I try to watch YouTube or something on my connection (15mbps), my ping flies to about 600 and it crawls to sub-1mbps, making browsing impossible. What gives? Can't really watch this stream because of it

Oh god. I did get my AC4 and FIFA 14 games last Friday at like 6pm despite 'First Class' from Amazon...

I'd much prefer a nice early delivery this time.

A £10 voucher. Ha ha. I'd be raging at them and seriously trying to impress how utterly pissed off I am and they need to try a lot harder to sort me out.

They are, in my experience, they best courier by a mile.

They send you a text to say what hour they'll be there. you can reply 1 2 or 3 to have it delayed, dropped at a neighbour or left in a safe place, you can stalk the guy on the map, you can see what job number you are on his list and where he currently is.
 
No matter what happens in Europe, the UK will always be an Xboxland I assume. There are lots of uninformed people that think coming from the 360, Xbone will be superior to PS4 (coming from PS3). And since Brits love the 360 controller, they will love the Xbone controller. Mainland Europe is Sony territory though.
