Cheap Arse Gaffer |Europe| We Need To Go Cheaper

Has anyone seen any PS4 + Vita bundles go live yet (apart from the £515 SimplyGames bundle)? The various news stories from yesterday covering the bundle price all said that the bundles should have gone live at Midnight.

I'm curious to see if retailers are taking the "under £500" estimate to the letter and making them £499, or being more aggressive and going for the Xbox One £430-450 region.

Any news on the "Zavvi sent Tearaway Bundles to people that only preordered Tearaway"? Can they track you etc?
Received my package myself and thought "Wth, where did I buy this?" before I started some googling.

Would you guys keep it?

Some people mentioned an email where they want you to give it back. Got none..

I've not had the email and there is actually no record of my preorder on my Zavvi account either. I don't believe they can even make you send it back, it's their mistake, if they call you out on it, tell them you never received the package.

Merry Christmas!

I work for a major online retailer, and quizzed my manager if a Zavvi-Tearaway like situation arose. Legally it's Zavvi's fault, you don't need to send it back quite simply. The order was processed, went through, and completed. They sent the wrong item, it's their fault.

Oh great, Amazon UK is doing the 3DS XL + Mario Kart deal again. £130 is very tempting but the white model is ugly as hell. Also, the red/blue models are £135 ATM. Decisions, decisions...

For £5 less you're getting a free game and are automatically entitled to the free 3D Land promo currently on, so you'd be getting 2 games. Screw the colour!

This sounds as much like a real life law as "finders keepers" does.

Best as I can determine, the recipient is entirely within their rights to keep it.

From Zavvi's own terms and conditions:
The conclusion of a contract between you and us will take place when we (i) debit your credit, debit card or PayPal account or (ii) dispatch the goods to you or commence the services, whichever is the later.

The contract is concluded. At this point, the customer has the right to return (cf the Distance Selling Regulations) - as best as I can determine, the supplier does not have the right to demand a return.

Edit: Further to this:

http://www.adviceguide.org.uk/engla...services_you_didnt_ask_for_distance_sales.htm

You have no obligation to return the goods to the trader or allow the trader to collect the goods.

It does suggest you play nice and give them the opportunity to collect them, but you appear to not be obligated to do so.

(If you want to be *really* cheeky, I think you may strictly be within your rights to still demand a copy of Tearaway. I wouldn't recommend it, however)

Makes sense. If you go to a brick and mortar store, and pay too little for a product there, they also can't make you give it back.

Edit: Puppeteer lightning deal still £16.99... we need to go cheaper!

I don't really understand this. It seems to say that you have to write to the company and ask them to collect the goods, while at the same time saying you don't have to return the goods.

It hasn't exactly made it any clearer :lol

It's stating that you have two options: You have the right to ask them to take the goods back (and to facilitate that, you *need* to write to them to request it; that's the 'need' in the first section), but you alternatively also have the right to keep the goods if you wish.

Puppeteer is £16.99 at Amazon. Was hoping for £9.99!

Edit

Beaten!

9.99 was my jump in price too.
Will continue to wait for it to be on PS+, though I have a feeling it will be one of the 12 deals of Xmas this year on PSN.

007 Legends Wii U is £8.99 on The Hut, with free delivery. I'm still not sure if I should buy it. I mean, the reviews were pretty bad, but I loved Goldeneye and this is from Eurocom too... anyone here played this?

No hyberbole, it's one of the worst games I've ever played.
If you like GoldenEye, you'll suffer from deja vu too, as massive chunks of levels are lifted straighted from GE.
After Acti closed their doors, Eurocom spilled the beans that they were given only a few months to make the game. It shows.

I have £44 of PSN credit that's not doing anything at the moment. I got my PS4 today, I already have PS+ so I already have Resogun and Contrast, and I got the Killzone bundle so I already have that. Is there any one PS4 game that's out now that I should get?

If you have plenty of games to play at the moment, I would hold on for a while.

Just watched some video reviews. Bought!

Thanks.

(Half price on XBL at the moment, too - £18)

PISSBASTARDS! Got stuck in a loop at GAME trying to redeem reward points (at their suggestion) and kept getting errors, so bailed on the reward points. By the time I got to 'confirm order' the flash sale had ended and it was back up to £17. Tried webchat to see if they'd honour the price I was tying to buy it on but kept getting thrown ot after waiting bloody ages.

BAH!

Zavvi have dropped the price of some next gen games. Most noticeably is dead rising at £40. Not that cheap but cheaper than most.

I apologise if this has already been asked 100 times but I need to make a quick decision. I've just seen Battlefield 4 PS3 at Shopto for £24.99. It doesn't mention if it has the PS4 upgrade code or not but I know GAME did have an offer on where they gave you £40 trade in towards the next gen version. My question is, is that offer still on with GAME and would I be right in thinking that I can get BF4 on PS4 for £35 this way?

The GAME offer only applied to PS3 games you purchased at GAME, I think.
