Ahh I managed to snag Resogun and Contrast but I want War Thunder and the FIFA 14 demo too, PSN is literally frozen on my end D: Anyways congratz to everyone! :) My only gripe is in my eyes a big one since so far I have nothing else to complain about:

I want wallpapers or atleast changeable colors for now since my room is fairly small and my TV illuminates everything in PS4 blue at the moment which is... a bit uncomfortable. Give me orange or yellow please! :P
 
Got my PS4 but Super Mario 3D World didn't turn up in the post. FUCK.

Anyways, I'm a bit disappointed with the build quality, the matte plastic on the right and bottom is cheap and has a few marks on it. Definitely not up to par with the build quality of the launch PS3, or my friend's XB1 for that matter.

Still, all that power under the hood, eh! Just restoring the system having swapped the HD, I'll be getting stuck in soon :)
 
The wait is over. UK solus unit, made in China. Works.

Although it freaked me the fuck out by refusing to play nice with my ASUS 27" monitor, I was 95% confident it was working as I was getting the unit going to the white light on top but no image. Moved it over to the TV and all is good.

Can't sign in to PSN for shit though :-)

I know. I've been thinking that ever since the PS3 came out and I took a look at the US store. I wonder how many people have complained about it through the years. It can't have been many or else they probably would have done something.

It makes perfect sense to have one basic layout in all regions.

Like you, I have stumbled on things entirely by accident because they just dump everything into one section.
 
Finally this day has come. :) At 1pm I've got my new, fresh, beauty and jet black PS4. Next gen arrives for me.

I can't log in on PSN account, but I've played Killzone and is great!

Unfortunately I have a chinese PS4. :(
 
Finally arrived. Slight issue though. Downloaded the update. It said 'preparing to install'. Then after quite a time gave me a network error. I am now having to re-download the update. Any ideas?

During the NA launch, the PSN was intermittently going down the day after release and the bottom half of the game screens on the DynamicMenu (PS4 xmb) were not coming up AT ALL!


It wasn't till I completely power cycled the system that everything showed back up again...
 
Anyone having issues with remote play? Sitting 6 feet away from the console and getting a ton of pixelation and keeps dropping the connection. Move to another room so it's over with rather than direct connection and it connects bit becomes unplayable. After hearing all the talk of how well it works, really disappointed atm.

The traffic between Hemel and Kings Langley is pretty bad today; everyone seems to be out for Black Friday sales and loads of schools are off. Watford was packed too; I picked up my PS4 there and headed back via Argos in Apsley to get an extra controller.
 
I have to go out now but I have a PS4 that goes to white but no screen comes onto the screen, tried 2 HDMI cables. going to try it in my bedroom and see if it works when I get home. HDMI port looks fine though. My PS4 is also a wobbly one

It seems as if Sony only want to promote FTP and Indie games in America. It's crazy.
 
haha, so now I can't do anything with this new PS4 of mine since PSN is down.

Would it really bankrupt these companies to assume that every single console is sold and goes online day one and reserve capacity accordingly? Same shit with Diablo 3, GTAV, Sim City... ridiculous.
 
Seriously, is anyone having troubles with "preparing to install" after it's downloaded? The first time it was taking what seemed like forever so I tried again and it's still "preparing to install" after like 4 or 5 minutes.

Am I fucked? what should i do?
 
Quick question, is it normal for the PS4 to make a slight "knack" sound upon starting-up and rebooting? It doesn't happen during normal operations and otherwise it's silent like a purring cat.
