Okay, got my code from amazon, should I just wait before trying to apply it to my PSN account? Don't want to deal with errors and hang-ups with the whole Euro PS4 release weekend...

Surprised to see some many baffled that Sony isn't offering this on their official site. Isn't it the norm for retailer discounts to be given by the retailer and not necessarily available when purchasing directly from the manufacturer?

Ahh crap. The same thing happened to me and I was planning on redeeming it on my PS3 when I get home. I hope there isn't some fuckery going on. It makes no sense that you can buy these things, get online codes, enter them on the official site in the official area to enter codes, yet it turns out that's actually the incorrect method and can lead to seemingly invalidating the code.

They listed the sale price in a big ad on their site and said it would be on sale for that price all day. Hugely misleading ad.

Not to mention it links to their site and has a limit of 2

Are there any games on sale on PSN right now?

All I'm seeing are price drops (Dead Island for $40), not exactly deals let alone black friday deals.

I tried earlier and I couldn't get my two codes to go through. I'll wait until tomorrow. If you already have plus there's really no reason to do it right away.

There's a weekend sale scheduled to go live sometime today. We should know the details soon.

Ok, just grabbed a 1 year card from GameStop, this will be my first time ever as a Plus member.

My question is, are you usually able to redeem the Plus subscription codes from your PC? It clearly states that you can do this on the back of the card but when I try it I get a message sayin " This card cannot be redeemed from a PC". I don't have access to my PS3 right now (I'm at work) so I can't try it on that but I'm hoping I didn't invalidate my code or something by typing it into the website, like it will now see the code as "used" but I still don't have my 1 year of Plus. Any thoughts?

Edit: Sorry, should have read the last page before posting, my bad

PC redemption didn't work for any of us. Same error message you got. But PSN is hammered, so redemptions aren't working, period, on PS3/4/Vita either.

I forgot that I had a $5 digital code from buying LEGO Marvel digitally the other day, so that is $5 off for me to make the one year of Plus just $25!

Newegg and Groupon are sold out.

Got two from Amazon. Going to GameStop shortly to grab maybe 4 more. Confirmed they have them in stock (physical cards) and "no limit - you can buy them all if you want" from the guy on the phone.

Might also snag a 32GB Vita card. I need the space.

no according to him its more of an advertisement for what retailers are offering...

IT LINKS TO THEIR SITE FOR PURCHASING THE SUBSCRIPTION!!!! AGHHHH

ha sorry I am a little pissed about dropping 60 bucks worth of PSN cards in my account and thinking I would get the 10 dollar reward for spending 60

I'm pretty sure he's wrong, as there is a giant BUY NOW button that links to their store.

Why the hell they put the ad for?? Now everyone is confused.

im actually quite inclined to believe him at this point...i explained to him that it linked to there store...and he literally said "yeaaaaaahhhhh....we're gonna get a lot of calls about this today"

he was well aware of the other retailers offering the discount, and used the word "confusing" for how the SEN website displays the information...

but he was adamant that Sony themselves would not be offering the deal and that brick and mortar stores selling physical cards would be the best bet because there would be no limits....anywhere selling digital codes would be limited to 2...

I'll continue to wait since I'm going to use that $10 dollar code that came with the PS4 towards it.

Came in to post this.

good luck, i had the same idea...but was personally told that Sony will not be discounting their codes

Hmm, I was hoping that it would appear on SEN since a customer rep said that the deal would be available for Canadians in some form as well.
At this point I'm not sure about doing that Amazon Delaware thing since it sounds like they may start catching it?
