I've read, for example, that Uncharted is still available as a free download on PS+.

My Vita is in the mail so I don't have access to PS+ yet but I would like to purchase games now and don't want to buy anything that could be available to me for free.

i was going to buy a 3DS XL and totally glossed over the Vita because I figured it had NO games. but i started to check it out and anyway and i'm surprised at how many seemingly awesome online multiplayer games there are for vita. can't wait.

Somebody else probably has the list memorized, but Borderlands 2 is coming, as well as God of War game (I think it's a port), a Gravity Rush sequel (does one need to be a Japanophile to appreciate that?) and something else that escapes me at the moment.

You should buy it. Atlus always has sales but it's always at that price range. Besides, P4G is a great game. You won't regret paying $20 for that. If you plan on doing Platinum, it should last you at least a hundred hours.

No, you can only change to the default avatars on the Vita - and PS4 too for some reason. If you want to switch to a premium avatar, it has to be from a PS3. But your avatar will change across PS3/Vita/4.

Yeah, it's on the disc under "Disc Benefits". There's only one redemption per disc though, so if you're buying used you probably won't be able to get your Vita copy.
