Uh -- it has to do with the bounties. You can put one up on near and then your friends can not have to grind out kills to get the rest of the bounties for the platinum.

Not from what I've heard. Colin said he'll be playing it on Vita once again. He's also a hardcore retro gamer so the game might have some things that don't agree with newer gamers. (Archaic game design in some ways). I'm still excited for it though.
As for the disgaea discussion above, I still can't fathom how that game is loved so much. Story is abhorrent and gameplay feels really sloppy.
I uninstalled that game and I think I don't have 3.3gb free in my mem card, sorry dude... I farmed those bounties too
Thanks. I like Colin Moriarty; he's smart, he "gets" the vita and like you say - has an oldschool, 'core gaming background.

I'm in the process of signing up for a PSN account, but I'm stuck for a username. I use "duckthatbites" for all my gaming usernames, but it won't allow it, I guess because of the word "bite"

people speak of a tearaway patch - i still dont think i have the patch installed...but i don't see the orange download orb on the home page...any idea how i can check to see if i have the latest update or how another way to download it?

I am hopelessly in love with this little VITA loveliness.
And this is just from the PS+ games, Flower, and Oath from the Ys sale, not to mention Remote Play goodness. Shit works so well!

Do we know how much the Vita version will cost?
It is for min/maxing. Collecting a bunch of different characters and making them as epic as you can possibly make them while dealing the largest numbers you have ever seen.
My bias is clear, I really enjoy the Disgaea series and SRPGs in general. The stories are there for comic relief and getting to know (somewhat) the characters at your disposal. The fun for me is making the best party possible, and Disgaea holds enough challenging fights along the way.
EDIT: No idea how the newer iterations of Disgaea fall under sloppy, but I have no idea what you are referring too.
It should be the same as the PS3 version
Also when I asked them on twitter about the sale price and still getting half off the Vita version they said this:

I thought it was quite a good concept, but then the actual game turned out to be a bit too meh. I think the timing for the tapping is unforgiving and the RTS tactics elements too simplistic, which wasn't the best match. It's stupid cheap at the moment though, right?

Just saw the blogpost where they said they are aiming for a similar price.
I probably pass this time. I don't like the artstyle and many reviews criticize the story. I still have to play FFT: WoTL and Tactics Ogre so I can get my SRPG fix there. Only the trophies would speak for this game but I don't really care about that.
I normally like to support indie games and this is even a german game but this game looks so uninteresting.
I really liked it. It can get pretty tough though.
The sticks don't work in Flower. Did you select the right control mode for Flower? Maybe you choosed touch controls.
To turn, you need to tilt the Vita like a steering wheel.
My Vita sometimes has touchscreen issues which are gone after a restart. I guess OS has some problems. Happens pretty rarely though.

Oh yes. It's glorious, you haven't seen anything yet. It's also a 3-way cross buy with PS3 & PS4, and you can re-get the trophies on each version.
You'll be at 80+ before you know it
Took me about 8 but that is without COMPLETELY trying to 100% stuff. That was just the first playthrough but I did try to collect all I could during that playthrough. As such, at the end I'm about 80% complete and now trying to get 100%.
Took me 40 hrs.

No worries Im a fan of all the uncharted games but like you really need the space so am trying to get it finished then I shall quickly be onto Gravity Rush and Tearaway ^_^
If you press the little blue refresh button on the top of the live screen for tearaway it will show the Orange update button if their is one.
Alternatively if you go into it as you would do for deleting it there is an option that says version history click that and it will let you know what version you are using
I did exactly the same. Tried to collect everything I could but without being too worried about it. Just letting the game flow. It was like 8h and 75-80% completed.
BTW, I've started playing P3FES and... it feels kinda rough after playing P3P. Sure, having anime cutscenes and full 3D enviroments is good, but the UI in general feels quite old compared to Portable and P4.
It's weird to explain. I just feel like the game is just not polished especially character movement in the overworld and all that. I realize I'm in the minority though. I kinda wish I could sit down with one of you guys so you could explain the game to me XD
This is very exciting to hear. I picked up 7 and Oath yesterday.

Wondering if you guys could help me with this. I just noticed a weird blotch on the screen that I could've sworn wasn't there before, but I can't help not seeing now. It's best seen against a dark background like here:
I'm pretty sure it's not a mura effect blotch. I've had a look at the mura thing on my screen and it doesn't match up with this pattern that I can see under any lighting condition as well.
Got my Vita like two weeks ago and thinking about returning it while I can.
Side note: hope those Christmas PSN deals get better than 50% FIFA. Maybe Steam has spoiled me d:
edit: there's also black line like that at the bottom, perfectly horizontally. Is this burn-in? I've kept my brightness down and only played in super short sessions :/

No that is actually a fair point. Jumping in the overworld takes some getting used to; sloppy might be a good word for it.
