And the PS3 has tons of great games, namely the Disgaea titles, Tokyo effing Jungle, and the BlazBlue games. Also Catherine. You have to play Catherine if you even remotely like Persona.

I love Persona and I know I'll like Catherine seeing I watched story and gameplay videos of it a lot last year. I played Disgaea 3 in my Vita and Disgaea games are more than likely to come to the Vita at some point though, seeing a Disgaea 4 port is on the way to the Vita (plus it includes all DLC). I don't know about Tokyo Jungle so I'll research on that. :)

Is Blazblue really good? I'm not that skilled (actually, I have no talent) in fighting games so probably I might not enjoy that. It's sad though. I really missed a lot during the golden/PS2 era of JRPGs.

Unfortunately, I don't have a PS3. I'll wait for feedback from you guys if it will be good purchase for the Vita. Personally, I don't mind grinding since I've played all Disgaea iterations on the PSP and Disgaea 3 on the PSV. However, Disgaea games have options to speed up the pace of battles so that helps a bit. Hopefully, the pace in this game will be good for grinding.

Little offtopic: I'm thinking about buying a PS3 in January. Should I go for it? JRPGs and SRPGs are the only reason I want it right now. If yes, any recommendations on JRPGs I've missed out on? Seems like the only games I missed were the Tales of series and remasters of KH. I know Persona 5 is coming but that will probably be a Spring or Summer release of 2015. Sorry, I don't really know where to post this question.

NieR, Valkyrie Chronicles, Resonance of Fate, Tales of games, NieR, Drakengard 3, Ni no Kuni, Nier, Disgaea 3, Disgaea 4, Mass Effect, Dark Souls, Demon Souls,NieR, Atelier games, Dragon's Dogma, Rune Factory, Death Spank, NieR, Eternal Sonata and did I mention NieR? Get that too.
MEGATON! Now Music Unimited streaming works as custom soundtrack.

Nice. Now the only thing I need is money to subscribe to the service.

So I'm about to finish
the barn
in Tearaway. I like the game, but it's definitely missing something. It reminds me of something magical like Banjo-Kazooie or Mario 64, but it definitely doesn't deliver that same experience. I'll definitely be finishing the game (probably within the week), but so far, the one thing the game has successfully done is make me want to go play through some of those classic platformers again.

If you like highly technical fighting games, then you would enjoy Blazblue, if not dont think you would find it amusing...

The story is great too, and you can easily get through it if you don't know fighting games.

So the Vita ver has a pretty complete story mode just like the console one then? If so yeah what cj says playing it for the story mode could be enjoyable once it gets lower in price, if you plan on picking it up just for that. Rather than constant competitive play.

Just wait until you finish to make the final call.

Is Sly trilogy real?
The rating is, but there's no announcement. And the ESRB rating happened a long time ago and still nothing. Where as the Jak Collection was rated on the ESRB, announced and came out relatively fast.

You mention NieR six times dude. Meanwhile I'm waiting my own copy from Amazon. The game hard to find here. I wish that SE just released it digitally on PSN already.
But yeah, getting a PS3 at this point of it life is very worthed it. Most PS+ stuffs are PS3, and I don't think the support for the system would down for at least another 2 years. If you have subscribed to PS+ for a long time, the games you "own" from that service is even enough to make a decent start with PS3.

bought blazblue for 10€. looks gorgeous on the vita screen, but I can't perform even the most simple combos on a regular basis. I don't think you will enjoy it if you are not well practiced in fighting games.

I just came across a weird PSN issue. Up until a couple of days ago, I always purchased my games directly from PS3 or Vita and had no problems whatsoever. Few days back, I used the web store to get the free PS4 games. However, when I tried to buy Spelunky from my Vita today I kept getting errors about my credit card information not being valid. I googled the issue and some people claimed your CC info needs to be EXACTLY the same as it is in your CC statements.

Honestly never encountered that issue before. I didn't change anything but decided to try my luck using the web store to buy Spelunky...and it worked. What a silly error.

Well.. Seems like a no for me. I usually just button mash in fighting games so I know I suck. If the story is good like what CJ says, I'll probably bite if it's on sale so I have a fighting game in my library. A good story is always a plus in my book.

NieR for the soundtrack alone. Seriously.

The characters I thought were pretty colorful in uniqueness of design. Taokaka 4 ever lol

It might be the PSN servers acting up since it's launch and all. I expect them to iron out these problems by the end of the year.

LOL. Looks like I really need to play NieR, whatever that game is. :P

I'll keep this list in mind so thanks!

I had a similar issue when first setting up my card info on PSN. Bizarre that it suddenly changed for you, though.

Granted the game isnt perfect and some folks may not have liked it due to how its designed, you cant argue that the soundtrack kicks all sorts of ass.

First thing I did after getting the game when it released here in Japan was search for when the sound track was releasing and purchasing it. Its that damned good and I hardly purchase soundtracks these days anymore.

Yeah, been using it for years no problem, the only thing I did was use the web store for the first time a couple of days ago. I hope it's just the PSN servers going bonkers. It's not a huge deal since I can still use the web store but still....

Wow, you all weren't kidding about that memory, between The Walking Dead and Hotline Miami, that 4GB filled up fast.

Oh well, I have two.

You really should especially if a great story is a big factor on your purchasing decision.

Soundtrack is also awesome. Winning the 2010 soundtrack of the year and probably my soundtrack of the generation along with FFXIII, Hotline Miami, and others more.

3D PSP games on the Vita doesn't look so hot, as GEB showed us.

And after Parakeetman mentioned Venus & Braves (played a bit in jp), I immediately googled about its localization (it is!) and then searched on the SEN store (it's not!), so my heart is broken too.

Sorry, but Venus and Braves was never officially translated and released in America. Any translation was fanbased and the game would not be available on the SEN store.

None in US store, and I really wished I'm mistaken. Also Folklore isn't yet on the store which is something equally WTF. Glad I managed to found a second hand copy of it.

Sony needs to pumped out more RPG like Folklore and less monster-hunting game. Not that they are bad. Soul Sacrifice is fun, and I guess Toukiden will be too since it have very distinct personality. But more genre diversity is a good thing.

I should buy Rainbow Moon the moment it released for Vita I guess.

I plan to revisit my opinions as the game progresses. But it's definitely a game you have to stick with I think to get the most of. The beginning just isn't as charming as I had expected based off of the crazy praise it was getting.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention Folklore. Really a fantastic game. The only gripe I probably had was that you have to go through the same level twice.

I do, but yeesh, those must cost a fortune. Unless you want to grab one on the cheap for me. :D

Unfortunately it still seems to run around high 80s - 90s USD here D: At least the ER isnt as shit as it used to be lol or else it would be worse.

Im going to have to pick up a second one soon my 64 is getting full quick

Man that sucks D:

Yeah some titles which you would think should be on PSN are not. The US store doesnt have that Castlevania Lord of Shadows which surprised me since I always heard the game was pretty enjoyable for what it was. I got my unopened PS3 copy somewhere, but question of where as mentioned before in the mass of boxes that fill my place... D: So said fuck it one day and went to look for the PSN copy which does not seem to exist. :/

Really? I was hooked from the very start. Different strokes for different folks, I guess. I'm curious to hear if your opinion has changed once you've finished it.

Can PSP games still be patched via the Vita? Elminage is on my download list, but it also got a patch that required an update. Re-downloading it doesn't include the patch, as far as I know.

Also, does Hotline Miami have cross-saves?

I can check that in a bit give me about 5 minutes. While its not elminage ill try to see if the other PSP titles even have patches out.

No game is perfect since it's all based on preference anyways. :)

*Adds to Youtube Playlist* Will listen to this while playing some Dota 2 on my PC. Thanks! :)

I'm looking forward to the last stretch if it's really that good.

Yeah, I plan to post it. I found that visually, the game delivered from the get go. But the first hour or so was just SO slow gameplay wise (for me). I'm excited to continue on, though.

Yes and Yes. My LBP PSP is patched and Killzone Liberation also.

I think it's the lack of jumping in the beginning that make it slow.

I just checked the games I got and none of them seem to have patches? Sorry cant be of much more help than that.

Yeah, I think Hotline Miami Vita > PS3 might be the case. Not sure about the touch screen lock on though.

you can press square for lock on too, although it doesn't always lock on to the exact target you want.

didn't play on ps3, but that game is amazing on vita - it's just so quick and fun.

faq, I can't find vita in anywhere, all are sold out

I found one but > 290USD and only vita, no accesories, no nothing :c

PD: in chile xd

Both are free for PS+ at the moment. I beat it on PC originally, which I think is the best version still, but this isn't bad.

If you ever get the game stay away from the fishing part. It will make you want to do bad things to the developers... lol Stress was an understatement for the subquests related to fishing...

I was wondering is there was an option to say how many hours you played a game in the system settings ? Like a save manager or something like that.

Unfortunately the save data is tied to the icon itself. So there is no real save manager it seems which I thought was odd... Unless Im missing something here.
