New Soul Sacrifice Delta trailer!

Sorry if this is known but is this an expansion of the original game or will this be a full retail game?
Full game, though I wonder how much ground they'll retread, considering one of the (hopefully dead) companions shown in the trailer.

The art design for this game is so good.

Major SS spoiler:
Technically never dead considering the ending loops into the beginning.

Nice and that armor at 1:08 looks just like Guts Berserker Armor.

Any word on if they are improving the native resolution?

I'm excited to start a new character my old character was a glass cannon and I realized how useless I was on the field pretty quickly, gotta balance that shit next time, aren't there plans of a soul sac 2 as well?

Really hope they worked long and hard with improving the short comings of the original game.

Forgot to mention though as always excellent boss monster design. They really capture the dark fantasy setting perfectly.

Yup. Once completed there was no point in continuing playing as all you could do was upgrade your spells. Still a great playthrough your first time but I would have liked more customisation options. Armour actually having stats rather than being visual. Just some excuse to grind bosses over and over besides for more casts of spells.

This looks fun. Okay, I guess I'll try playing Soul Sacrifice again. I downloaded and played it for 15 minutes but it was corny as hell, but I quite liked the talking book. Go figure.

They need to fix the gear/spell progression badly in this version. One of the biggest issues for me was when the grind vanished(60hr) and the will to play stopped. Getting boss spells that look fancy but are useless isn't fun.

Sick. Come to papa

You should definitely try playing more. It needs getting used to but after hour or so you just can't stop playing. And don't forget headphones, some of the music is fantastic in this game.

I hated how what you got was based on overall rank achieved for the mission. Rather than being random.

I didnt play online but was it the same for that too? If so not exactly the best idea for a design choice considering it would lead to elitism.

I played with headphones and I agree that the music is awesome! I think I like the book because of how it zooms into it with a cackle and the page turns, it's pretty neat lol.

Impressions from tgs! Also since this is coming for vita tv too it would look pretty horrid if ita non native.

I really hope so. I also hope that it gains some momentum from the PS+. The lore in this game is some of the most amazing stuff I've read. I want to explore so much more of the games world.

It was the same, but I preferred that method anyway. The lack of meaningful customization really hurt this game.

I really need to platinum the first game before I get this one. Can't wait for it though.

Also, if anyone wants to do co op with me, you have only to ask.

Very interested in this. Had fun with the original version. The Single player had some great production work. Really liked the illustrated book sections and like Nier the music added so much to the overall atmosphere of the game. Hope there is more of that in this along with new spells/ bosses etc.

Would be great if they added and improved on the combat and introduced some explorable stages in the 2015 sequel..

Yeah lore is fantastic. Hope sequel has more rpg elements

Want to see what they added compared to the original.
Did you watch the trailer? Or watch any of the footage they've shown of Delta? We've seen a lot of new things.

A 3rd option instead of save/sacrifice (still unsure what the new one does), Fairy element, Seems like AoE healing does damage to some enemies, spear magic, creating platforms and climbing on them, destructible arenas (think like Tekken's stage transitions), actual outfit customization (rather than costumes).

Just a few things we've seen in trailers and footage.

I've seen it. Can't read japanese sadly.

They really need to release this as DLC, I would bite right away. Won't buy it as a new game though.
With the recent PS+ entry of the game I guess many others will think about it the same way.

The Soul sacrifice Delta demo is now up on the Japanese store via search.
Playing it on a 60" TV via VitaTV is glorious. / Go get it.

Got the original on PS+, played it for a bit and quit once I realized I had played through the first 3-4 missions had no idea what I was doing or what was going on.

Felt like by not playing monster hunter or a similar clone before this I was sorta left in the dust when starting it. Meh, maybe I'll give it another go though.
