Anyone know how the stat system works? Each silver tier armor piece says it gives 10 defense. But When I have 3 silver armor piece equipped. My defense is only 10. Shouldn't it be 30?

I couldn't get the game to launch until I lowered my Windows resolution below 2560x1600. It would always freeze as soon as the logo appeared.

Once in the game, I was able to switch to a fullscreen resolution of whatever size I wanted.

I think I randomly died to some sort of poisonous fog on the first night of this planet.

This game seems hard for the genre. Certainly harder than the initial start of Terraria.

I think I'm gonna like it here.

That poisonous fog is actually you dying from hypothermia. It caught me by surprise the first time too. You basically need to warm yourself near a fire during the night.

An indicator at the bottom of the screen slowly goes down, when there are about two bars left everything becomes foggy and hazy.

You cannot rename characters but you can delete them. Go to your start menu go to computer > Local Disk (C > Program Files (x86) (normal program files if you do not see (x86) > Steam > Steamapps > Common > Starbound > player > (delete files in this folder)

I'm watching a guy streaming Starbound and the game looks really cool. The interface is miles better than Terraria and it was one of the complaints I had, the world looks beautiful and I guess there is a lot of diversity and difference between the planets.

Do the different races get different traits and abilities?

Server funcitonality is pretty much non-existent, no commands, so to speak, but then again, its beta. Looking through the config files, looks like there's suppose to be commands, but there arent any at the moment. Guess they just wanted MP working.

I don't finish the stairs for this reason. I never put the bottom pieces on so I have to always jump to get on them.
