The way I see it, if you have a Wii U, have a game you like playing on it and want to play it, then da Wii U no doomed =) It's not like Nintendo is going to let their own console die, and they're definitely developing megatons for it so it will sell. It would be beyond amazing if 2014 was for the Wii U what 2013 was for the 3ds, but unlikely since developing for the Wii U is more resource-consuming.

I share the same sadness for all the stupid doom-bringers harping on the Wii U and trying to predict it's failure. I love Nintendo and I don't care if I'm called a fanboy. I have high hopes for their 2014 line-up (and potentially 2015 depending on how many games get delayed or announced at this year's E3 but won't be out til the following year) The one thing that does make me happy that someone pointed out on another thread is that Nintendo seems to be going with a trend of announcing games that will be released not too long after said announcement. I think they pointed out ALBW got released not too long after being announced (well at least for a Zelda title) and The new kirby game was only announced like a month ago and will be releasing in Jan. Hopefully they'll have some megaton direct soon and announce that the first half of 2014 actually has quite a few more surprises than any of us are expecting
Just avoid them...even tho more seem to pop up often lol.

I agree, Nintendo has been so great this year to 3ds owners; 2013 has been one of the best years to be a Nintendo fan in a LONG time =) It seems that after the 3ds released, the reason that Nintendo went radio silent on upcoming games apart from OoT 3D, MK7, and SM3DL was because they really wanted to announce the 3ds games when they were nearly through their development cycles. I really hope 2014 is good to the Wii U too. First time typing this, so I'm savouring it,

They better either change him up quite a bit, or replace him with another character. Dedede in Brawl was pretty terrible imo.
I think he's pretty fun, and had some good tools like his throw and waddle dees. Plus his smug laying down pose is the best.

Dedede's actually a great character that not only takes a ton of inspiration from his incarnation as a recurring boss, he's pretty damn good competitively. Slow as balls, but he can bring the heat.

Dedede was pretty high tier for long time as well in the competitive scene. That mutha fletcher hit too hard, moved too fast and his dodge was insane! Especially since I mained Donkey Kong and Bowser, I had to deal with all his tricks and chain grabs. Him and Wario were the best fatties by far.

I guess I've been spoiled with how balanced the characters are (as well as the slew of other improvements) in Project M, so I'm equal parts excited/worried about how the cast in the upcoming Super Smash Bros. 4 will be balanced. I'm most curious to see how Mega Man & The Wii Fit Trainer will handle, given that Mr. Blue & Cyan wasn't all that grand in the Marvel VS. Capcom series and the Trainer comes from a training program that is non-violent in it's design.
Speaking of which, both Peach & Kirby we're my mains in Melee, so you can probably tell that I was super bummed with how both of them we're neutered in SSBB.
