I'm kind of confused here, what does cross play mean in a game with no multiplayer ?

You're right, I didn't think and used them as if they were the same thing. It is just cross-save.

Cross-play would be for something like Wipeout, where you can play against PS3 Wipeout players using the Vita version.

Zavvi 10% off. Usual stuff applies
10% discount code excludes electronics, computing, consoles and pre-orders and cannot be used in conjunction with any other offers e.g. multi-buys. Max discount of £10. Discount code is valid until 30th December 2013.

Quote to reveal: Buy something interesting! Like Tearaway! *goes back to waiting for his Tearaway order from Zavvi*

1) oh shit, I wanted to post that earlier when I saw the deal but forgot about it, thanks for catching it! (already jumped on this deal!)
2) oh shit it's you again! hey duder who helped me buy steam games from the UK a lot! :D
totally not stalking you

lol

Tell that to the court when I get a restraining order.
Ironically... they declined my payment for this. Perhaps it's a sign.

For the Dutchies:

Saturn.nl is currently having a sale, all the games on their shop are discounted.

For example:
- New Super Mario Bros U 31,99 euro
- Pikmin 3 29,99 euro
- Super Mario 3D World 32,67 euro

And if you go to their stores, they have the 3 for 2 offer.

Need for Speed Rivals (PS3) - £23.98 at Zavvi. No sign of the Xbox 360 version at all there, must be out of stock.

Also, anyone know any good deals on PS+? Preferably 3 months but a 12 month deal is fine.

£33.15 from CDKeys if you 'like them on facebook' for the extra 5% off

http://www.cdkeys.com/playstation-network-psn/playstation-plus

Depending on what you want it for you could get a PSN 12 month US code from Amazon US

This was down to $30 over the holidays but is now back up to $50 - but thats still only £30.50 (so cheaper than buying the discounted UK one).

Limits on this so depends what you want to do with it but worth looking at.

Good deal on Rayman Legends Wii U but they not deliver outside Holland

Do 3DS games ever drop in price in places like GAME, Zavvi or Shopto? I'm considering buying a 3DSXL, but the price on most of the games I want to buy is 29-31 pounds

Not really. Nintendo games, particularly 3DS ones, hold their value for a very long time. Now and then, you may get a good deal, but don't expect the price drops you get on console games for 3DS ones.

Play-Asia has 3DS games on sale all the time. But it's mostly ntsc versions.

Has anyone from the EU used www.videogamesplus.ca recently? I've not used them in years. Do you still not get the customs/duty fees from using them? I just noticed PS4 games are £35 there.

I use them now and then (Germany), last games being Dragon's Crown, Muramasa (both PSVita) and Aquapazza (PS3). All three didn't get stuck in custom. Might've been lucky, though.

They're still doing it (valuing the package down and marking it as a gift) without you having to remind them.

AFAIK they have always marked down their games especially for importers.

Back when they were still an Ebay shop they didn't do it. Or maybe they forgot to do it for me because I had to pay import fees for Catherine

They sell on eBay as well, but the site has existed for over ten years. My first order with them was for Beyond Good & Evil on the GameCube in 2004 and I've never been stung by customs. I always make sure to ask nicely for them to mark it down in the comments section though, just in case.

Talking of VG+, any UKers received Ys: Memories of Celceta Silver Anniversary Edition - PS VITA yet? Mine was shipped last Monday & normally I'd have received the game by now.

On a side note, I received a spoof Royal Mail email on Friday informing me that a parcel of mine was damaged and/or being held in customs & to complete the attached PDF. I very nearly clicked on it thinking it was my Ys game!

EDIT

Just had a knock on the door & it turns out my parcel went to a different street because of the incorrect postal code used by VG+. First time this has happened though since I started buying games from fiocco on eBay about 50 years ago!

Mine only arrived today and mine was dispatched the same day as yours.

Seems Christmas has made it super slow, usually only takes a week from the US.

That said it arrived in perfect condition and no customs, so I can't complain.

They mark the packages as gifts/merchandise but if the customs open your package, you can be asked to pay duty fees + taxes. I used them a lot in the past and used them again now to import 2 PS4 games and never had any problem with customs.

The games took 2 weeks to arrive if that info interests you.

Had 3 orders with them this year, the last one being Dragon's Crown on Vita and PS3 in one package both with preorder artbooks so was quite a big weighty package and they still marked down the value to get in under customs.

I spoke to a UPS guy a earlier this year and he said that stuff going through the postal service at either end (ie Royal Mail) very really get flagged unless it's a big item but pretty much any courier end consignment will get checked out. UPS even includes clearance fees as part of their service as they know I their stuff will get looked at. GameStop for examples did me over with my US copy of The Last of Us and ended up costing me £35 in taxes as well as the $100 I had paid them for inclusive cleared shipping.

Media such as games, DVDs, blurays don't carry any import tax (classed as category 9) but anything over the value of £50 is subject to be checked (sometimes as low as £15) and then everything is due 20% import VAT if it gets picked up.
