"Previously announced game" sounds more like Smash Bros.- if it was Kart, B2 or DKC you would think they would say something like "upcoming Wii U title" since they have already shown gameplay + demos of those games.


Nintendo's best move would be to show Smash Bros.... they have to know that.

I don't thinks so either. Most people are already expecting something related to Donkey Kong. Anything else will be great in comparison. Me? I couldn't care less with what they decide to show. I will enjoy it either way since I'm looking forward to all their 2014 games.

No doubt, but think of it this way: people who care about the game already think it will be fantastic, and people who don't care won't likely be swayed. In either case, no one really needs to see it again; in fact, prior to the delay, we anticipated being able to play it...yesterday. So it doesn't seem like there's much to be gained from demoing DK, unless Nintendo thinks they'll really captivate some members of the VGX crowd, which is hopeful at best and naive at worst.
